I was a little fearful about this ship after reading some of the recent reviews. But after 4 very enjoyable days, I wonder if they were on the same ship? All the employees did whatever they could to make you comfortable and happy. Our steward, Tri , was excellent, and our waiter, Nick, and his team were just wonderful. We never encountered any long lines, and both getting on and off went very smoothly. Guy’s Burgers, and the Blue Iguana were so yummy! And the Seafood Shack had excellent food for just a few dollars. All the bar people were so helpful, never had to wait for more than a couple of minutes- they were all so efficient! We had a small suite for 3 people, and with the extra big balcony, it was positively roomy, with so much storage. I know Victory won’t be around much longer, but I am so glad we took this lovely short, 4 day cruise. Read Less

Getting on the boat was a breeze! I am blown away by the service that we received while on board. Our servers in the restaurant were absolutely amazing. They called us by name every time they addressed us; they pulled out my chair for me; and I loved the dancing. Putu Agus was our lead server. He was awesome! So friendly and funny! There was plenty to do each day, and the drink package was well worth it. The drinks were delicious, and the bartenders were quick and always smiling. In fact, I never saw a single team member who was not smiling. Fellipe, the cruise director, was also wonderful. He was so full of “energy”, as he would say. I was always glad to see him hop on stage at the different events. Our room was a lot bigger than I expected. Wir did an excellent job at keeping our room tidy and checking in on us. There was also a ton of room for storage. He also did a great job with the towel animals! I loved seeing those each day! Getting on and off the boat was easy, yet still secure. The shops were nice, the casino had plenty of room, and the boat never felt crowded. I love that they had adult-only areas. It was a nice spot for people without kids. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this ship. It was lively, entertaining, spacious, and the service still blows my mind. Read Less

My congratulations for the Excellent service which was provided by Retno in the Atlantic Dining Room. My commendations to her, she made our dinner experience very happy. She was courteous willing to accommodate and please us to ensure that we would be happy with the food and service provided by the ship. Her great service made our dining experience looking forward to the next one and hoping we would be seeing her again. Retno (Rojo No ) as she translated her name to my in-Laws who did not speak English only Spanish caused a feeling of comfort and of welcoming. She described the food to my in-Laws in Spanish with our help The service and food was spectacular, the performance at the of the dinner on our last evening by all of the crew members dancing was awesome. My congratulations also to Felipe the Ship Director for his excellent performance in entertaining all the cruisers. Every aspect of the trip was great !!! Elevators took long but it was more than understandable considering the number of people on the ship. The coordination of disembarking was excellent. Nothing but a great weekend experience. This was a last minute booking with an amazing deal for a balcony room. We went in with no expectations coming in and left totally blown away with what a great time we had. Overall cleanliness on the boat was impressive in all the common areas. It didn't take more than a few minutes for an un-attended cup or plate to be scooped and cleaned away by service staff. Food was delicious with the exception of the Pizza Pirate. It nice to have that available 24 hours but we only needed to try it once and we were happy to fill up on all the other great options on the boat. Guy's burger joint was delicious as was the blue iquana tacos and burritos. The main dining was room was a great highlight with menus that changes and they always highlighted food influences by the port of call. Don't forget that you can always order more than one appetizer/entree/dessert! Our waiter during our entire cruise was Retno. She was very pleasant and new our name from the first evening and never forgot until we left. Even on open seating night and breakfast, she came by just to say hello and ensure that we were well taken care of. Desserts were always a highlight at every dinner. Entertainment on the boat was good. There was always a good selection of live music to be heard. Travis was a one man acoustic guitar player that was especially good. So were the multiple evenings of Karaoke!!! We definitely sailed with a talented bunch of passengers! Embarkation was quick and organized and leaving the boat was also pain free and easy. Highlighted destination was Cozumel at Chankanaab. All inclusive eating, drinking, snorkelling and finished off with a tequila tasting tour. Definitely worth checking out if you are considering an excursion. I was brave and had the ice and water while there. I have a sensitive stomach and it had no effect on me. Definitely peace of mind if you are worried about that. There's also a starbucks on site if you need a coffee fix. Overall great itinerary, entertainment and value for what was paid. FUN is definitely what was had and Carnival definitely upholds their reputation for being a fun boat. They should also be known for great service which was an unexpected highlight! Great job to all on the Carnival Victory! Read Less

This cruise was one to remember. I went on a trip with my boyfriend and coworkers. The overall cruise was exactly what I imagined/saw in videos before setting sail. My room was much larger than I anticipated and the drinks were much better than what I am used to getting at a typical bar (I live in LA). The food was okay, not amazing but those chefs work their butts off!! The one thing that stood out to me and made this a 5star trip was the staff. Whoever is in charge of payroll seriously needs to work on getting them ALL a huge raise! A few employees that stood out include Suan, Owen, Maribeth and Chris. Suan is such an incredible guy. His positive attitude and love for life showed in everything he did. He is a 5 star worker who also managed to engage with guests and bring laughter/energy. I would like to hire him to manage my company here in LA! (Lookout carnival). Owen was so polite to all guests. He made us feel so comfortable knowing he was overseeing our sleeping quarters. He seems to be a natural leader and I can see why carnival has him on board. On my next cruise I will request to stay with him again. Maribeth was such a bright energy in the dinning hall. She remembered EVERYONES name after hearing it just once. If guests had complaints or were displeased with the food she did ANYTHING to please them and did it with an infectious smile. I wish she could have taken off her uniform and joined us at the table for dinner. Lastly, Chris the Director, was a bright energy during the trip. He engaged with guests of all ages and knew how to break the ice. In the midst of chaos he was able to reassure guests and make them feel safe. I can see why you have him directing the carnival victory. Bravo to all staff who wore a smile and all greeted guests. Your hard work is not overlooked! Read Less

We knew about the refurb because we have been on the sunshine. Best embarkation in 75 cruises. We were on the ship within 10 minutes of entering the building--amazing. The LITTLE things made a great big difference. When you get up at night soft lights along the floor show the way to the bathroom without waking up others . The cruise cards are already punched to attach to a lanyard. The chocolate melting cake is served with ice cream without asking (dont miss this). The hooavous rancheros at the blue iguana are another do not miss. The Caesar salad dressing was the best I have ever had on land or sea. They told me they make their own. The wait staff was superb ( I offered to adopt Wendy from Bali). She was a ray of sunshine even after a long work day. The singers and dancers were very good and there was a live band which is becoming rare as you know. the room looked like brand new and I guess they were as it was just refurbished. I drink decaf coffee and it is usually poor but not on this ship. It was rich and full flavored and always tasted fresh even in the buffet. I didnt try the slide although it sure looked like fun. Plenty of space to get away from children if that is your desire. The staff must have been good at entertaining the littles because they were not a problem although there were many aboard. The last day was a problem because one passenger chose not to wait until we arrived in Miami to disembark and we spent 8 hours sailing back to the middle keys looking for him. Sad beyond words. Nobody complained but it was a somber mood the rest of the day. We had to eat the next cruise passengers welcome aboard lunch as they waited 10 hours to board in Miami. I wish there were a way to prevent this kind of thing and I am sure the cruise lines wish there was also. If you are looking for a great short getaway this was is top notch. We will do it again I am sure. Read Less

This was a 4 day cruise. We were there for a wedding. On boarding was very swift and love how quick we got thru just to venture on the board for the first couple hours before we were able to get to our rooms. I must admit by the end of our cruise, i still felt like i didn’t discover everything on the boat. It was so much to do on there that we didn’t get to do everything. When we went to our reserved dining, the servers were very attentive. I really admired the dining room and the color combinations it had made it very interesting. The dining room staff also put on a show for their guest which was awesome. A lot of entertainment that kept us all laughing. There was so much activities that we couldn’t do everything we wanted. That a good thing. I’ve been on a cruise before and got bored very easily by the 2nd night. Really enjoyed going to the comedy club. Mr. Doug Williams was awesome. He had us laughing from the beginning to the end!! Key West- we really didn’t have much time to discover the port because this is where the wedding was hosted. We were at port for about 5-6 hours. By the time the wedding was over, we had about an hr & half left in key west. We wanted to get back in the ship and change. By the time we did all that, we were hungry and ready to eat. We were leaving port by the time we sat down and ate. I have to admit, key west was very beautiful tho. Mexico- it was awesome to walk around the port and seeing people dressed up in their background/heritage. We took a couple pictures with really cute costumes. We went to Mr Sanchos for a couple hours. Worth the reservations. Highly recommend it. All you can eat, all you can drink. The one thing I’ll advise is, if you are planning to purchase items from your destination, check for pricing before you leave the port to do other sight seeings. We found a decoration at Mr Sanchos for $35, when we got back to port, we found a simpler decoration for $5. That was our only negative about this. Everything else was well worth it. I definitely wouldn’t mind coming back on Victory again Read Less

Embarkation and Debarkation went very smoothly. The ship was great and the movies played at night were awesome. The entertainment was amazing. For our excursion we went on a taxi which showed us around the Bahamas and took us to different destinations around. We then went to the beach and the water was crystal clear and they were playing some good music. Our waiters at the restaurant, Pudjiono, Daniel and Putra were amazing! They were very kind and Pudjiono even learned our names and remembered our drinks from the night before. They were great people. Our room stewardess Odin was also spectacular, he always greeted us by name and cleaned our room during our chosen hours and did a great job. The activities on the ship were okay. The show during dinner was very exciting. Overall the cruise was amazing. The whole crew was full of great people and the fun was very good. Read Less

The beautiful Victory was just upgraded last January. It has the best kind of water slide - I slid 21 times. (The newer ships have slides that are too scary for me.) Sliding is best sitting up & leaning forward. (Walk carefully on the wet pool deck - it's very slippery.) Mini golf & ping pong were also fun. I loved the blue & green atrium with glass elevators & the cabin upgrades. Dancing in Club Artic was SO much fun, especially when they played 70's & 80's music for 30 minutes Saturday night. Dining was great - Carnival matched us with two couples of similar ages. The food was wonderful and so was the service. Most people on board were very friendly. The Blue Lagoon Island Beach Day is a great excursion if the weather is good. It's a beautiful private island with 5,000 palm trees. The boat ride to the island was pretty & fun, especially when our boat jumped a huge wake from the other boat. Dolphins walked backward on their tails, spun around & arched jumped together during their feeding right in front of us. We had a great time! Read Less

Prior to this cruise I had taken 11 Carnival cruises and loved them all. I had also done this itenerary 3 times in the past and loved it. I was really wanting to visit Key West again and was only 8 days after a cruise on the Fascination, craving another cruise. This one was perfect ,Key West Interary and nice ship i had never been on. Embarkation was quick and easy. This particular ship has the sign and sail cards placed in the mailbox outside the cabin rather than issued at check in,so that speeds things up considerably. You can use your boarding pass to purchase drinks, etc prior to getting to the cabin to pick up your card. I loved the design and decor of this ship,so lovely!! the crew were so nice and helpful at all times. I only had dinner in the MDR twice,as I simply didnt see anything on the menu I was in the mood for the other two days. The food is delicious and of great quality. I booked this cruise for the interary, and it did not disappoint. I booked the Hop on,hop off conch train in Key West so I could see all the sights I wanted. I know you can walk up Duval to get to the Southernmost point, but I was not up for that long of a walk so I did the train. You can get off at a stop and walk over a short distance to it,so thats what i did.Key West is beautiful, and I highly suggest the conch train or the trolley tours for a great tour of the island This trip to Cozumel was my best ever. I booked a tour through the shore excursions desk that included snorkelling, lunch , a tableside guacamole demonstration,as well as a tequila tasting and demonstration. Protip: the passionfruit tequila was my favorite . Yum! this was my first attempt at snorkeling so I struggled a little with getting the hang of keeping water out of the mask and snorkel but when was doing it right it was amazing to look down at the fish and coral just a few feet below me! I felt like I could reach out and touch the fish. This was just a great cruise all around. I would definitely book this ship again. I hear it is going to be redone and changed to the Radiance,so I willl be trying it when it gets done. Read Less

I had a really nice time on the Carnival Victory. The ship is in really nice condition, and the staff and food were exceptional. I flew into Miami the night before my cruise. Embarkation was probably the quickest and easiest I've had so far. I arrived right at my arrival appointment, and never stopped in a line until I was getting my first drink at the bar. The ship is nice, though it took me a little time to acclimate to the layout, e.g. when going Aft from Deck 3 Fwd, you have to go up to Deck 5 and over to Aft because the two dining rooms and galley are right in the middle. But once I got used to that, I was good to go. The pool areas were nice; a decent amount of loungers, but I wouldn't have minded a bit more shade. I stayed in an 8C Balcony cabin. It was really nice and pretty spacious. There was a decent amount of storage. The ONLY thing I wasn't a fan of was the safe - it was the kind you need to swipe a credit card to lock. I wanted to put my credit card IN the safe LOL! The balcony itself was nice and I enjoyed sitting out there each day. Food throughout the cruise was very good. I really enjoyed the Blue Iguana Cantina. The only day I encountered crazy lines at the Lido buffet was embarkation. Otherwise, it wasn't too bad. Dinner in the MDR (Pacific) was good as always. Honestly, Carnival always excels in the food. This was my first solo cruise, and I was seated with a few other solos, and it was nice to come to dinner each night and chat about our days. I enjoyed the evening/night life on the ship. The piano bar was a lot of fun, and the Alchemy Bar is a neat concept. The shows are a little cheesy, but that's part of the charm. The staff on the ship throughout were top notch from the dining room to the bars to the "fun squad." Felipe is a really fun cruise director (woo hoo). This cruise stopped at Half Moon Cay and Nassau. HMC is one of Carnival Corp's private islands in the Bahamas and it is PHENOMENAL. Honestly, I could spend a week there and not get tired of it. The tendering process was quick and easy for me. Nassau is Nassau and it was fine; I didn't take an excursion this time and just enjoyed a quiet/empty ship. Disembarkation at the end was a zoo. There were a couple of "stops" so CBP lines could clear and it made the process/wait tedious. I don't know if it's always this way, or if it was an anomaly on this trip. Overall, I really enjoyed myself and would definitely go on this ship again. 10/10 Read Less

Both embarkation and disembarkation process were seamless. The deck was always lilvely with fun-filled activities. The food was on point everyday. At dinner at the Atlantic Upper 4th floor, Felix and Ajjie were phenomenal, so warm and friendly ... best staff ever. Our day in nassau was fantastic, we explored Bay Street, Atlantis and Fish Fry. The Comedy show Saturday night was great. The young lady who sang on the 3rd floor Sunday night was brilliant. She had us rocking and vibing and singing along. Our day at sea on Sunday was so much fun, the entertainment staff had the hairy chest men playing a crazy wild funny game. DJ Blaise was so good, she had the place rocking. What I thought was so good and so touching was the segment for donation to St. Jude’s hospital in Texas. I had a massage in the spa on the 11th floor, quite relaxing. Lazing about In the hammock, then soaking in the hot tub looking out at the beautiful Caribbean Sea was absolute bliss. I literally did not want it to end. I cannot wait to start planning my next Carnival cruise vacation. Highly recommended cruise line. Read Less

This was our first cruise and we loved it. We departed from Miami, which we did not explore because what we did see in Miami we we're not impressed. To be honest it looked dirty and unsafe, but that can be anywhere. The food in Miami was amazing though. Getting on the ship was easy but we paid for a fast track so we would not have to stand in line as we have a 1 year old. The embrakation was smooth. They did a safety drill for each Munster station which was a mess. I suggest they scan room cards as you come in and pass out bands for children 12 and under that way you don't have to stand for an hour waiting to get a demonstration of putting on a life jacket. Other than that it was easy to go. The ship itself was beautiful and looked new. The 5th floor had a Casino for those who want to gamble and life music with an amazing band. The fun shops are small but amusing. The theater is huge and beautiful. The public areas were beyond clean. Oh there is a small playground for kids, my daughter loved it! Our cabin was awesome. It was clean as a whistle upon our arrival. The showers have shampoo and body wash dispensers so that is convenient. We had a balcony beautiful room but wish I got a room with a window only for extra play space.l enjoyed seeing a new towel animal daily after house keeping cleaned. Which is done daily. Dining OMG food galore!!! I ate 7 meals a day, the Lido deck had a great buffet. There were great restaurants to eat at that we're free. I didn't do fancy dining cause I'm on vacation with family not the President of the United States. So I can't tell you about the food you pay for. Room service food was delicious too and the employees that bring it are beyond amazing. One was from Thailand another from Bahamas and Ukraine, amazing! I did not do adult entertainment because o was more concerned we the my daughter having fun so I did that. Their we're movies every night. We did a parade and story time. Tons of pictures with Dr.Suess characters she loved it. I wish there were more activities like that for her during the cruise. The music selection was not my favorite but hey peoy want to party, but I think there should have been more of a variety! Service was stellar! Seriously if anyone complained they had to be drunk. The photographers we're amazing and professional. Housekeeping professional, hilarious and worked hard. Cooks well the best because they fed us. Capatin out of this world. Our Cruise director Felipe the best. And I remember Josh the guy who was always making a joke for the performances great and funny. Bartenders quick and polite. Room service quick and didn't mind me picking their brains! Ports Key West Sucks! Their only place to walk is Duval St and nothing is open when you dock. Boring during the day and I will stay on the ship when I cruise again and it's a stop. Cozumel, totally beautiful. The natives are hilarious and so friendly, they do everything they can to sell stuff but hey that have to make a living too. The atmosphere here outstanding! I'd visit Cozumel Mexico anytime. The save the sea turtles was an amazing excursion my older kids did it and said that was the highlight of their day. Disembarkation was a gaggle they need to exit those who paid for quicker exit first by floors not herd us into a room tells us to sit then now leave. Customs was friendly and polite. The biggest issue of leaving was Miami TSA rude, rude, rude except for 3 TSA women who was awesome by my daughter. Read Less

My husband and I go to Nassau every year now for Memorial Weekend and it has turned into a group trip with some friends. This year it rained the entire time, but we still enjoyed ourselves thoroughly! Half were first time cruisers so they enjoyed everything about the trip. The servers in the dining room were great. We did not seem to have an issue when eating at the buffet, but the pizza line was outrageous at times and it seems that Carnival would fix this by now. We ordered room service one night after my husband tried to get some pizza and I am sure that it came faster than him standing in the line himself. Embarkation was a breeze!!! I have NEVER gotten on a ship so quickly! We boarded in Miami and they have changed the process a lot! My sister utilized Club Ocean for their daughter and they loved it as well. She is VERY overprotective of their daughter and felt at ease leaving her. She was provided with a phone to contact them or for them to do so in case of an emergency. We flew into the Miami Airport where we were able to check in with Carnival avoiding the long lines at the port. Our family was in balcony rooms on Deck 8, rooms 8267 (this room was too near the elevator lobby doors and was too noisy at night), 8269, and 8271. They opened one of the doors for us on the balcony creating a joined balcony which was so nice. We loved Guy's Burgers, and the dining room's food was delicious every night. Our grandchildren loved the water slide, the playground, and the putt putt. All Carnival employees were friendly, helpful, and kind. We parasoled with Sebago Watersports in Key West. Absolutely a wonderful adventure for all the adults. Easy lift off and easy return! So peaceful and the view was to die for. In Cozumel we taxied to Playa Mia, a resort on the beach with all kinds of water toys, beach chairs, and a splash pad for the kids. It was a great bargain for the cost. We disembarked ourselves and were to the Miami Airport by 9:30am. They had a checkin for our luggage right where we got off the bus, and were able to print our boarding passes for the plane there too. Read Less

We chose this cruise because it fit a scheduled family visit. We live in Florida but the visitors were from Oregon and had never been or a cruise. The price, length of cruise, itinerary, cruise reviews and dates available were perfect for this trip. My wife and I had not been on Carnival in 10 years and we are currently Platinum with Royal Caribbean. Honestly I felt like we were taking a step down by choosing Carnival but for sure I was WRONG! There is much to like about Carnival and I now see why they are the biggest cruise line out there. there is so much to like about this experience, I hope I can convey it all 1. The ship is huge but not too huge 2. The ship was in amazingly terrific condition for an 18 year old ship 3. We had interior rooms on the bottom deck at the rear of the ship. Much to my surprise there was very little motion felt and almost no engine or propeller noise. We had a very quiet hallway and our cabin steward Antonio was nothing short of amazing. For a budget room, I give it 5 stars. Oh yes, the shower was the largest I have ever had on a cruise ship 4. I have to say, the food quality and selection was actually better than Royal Caribbean. We had a party of 8 and were seated on the upper deck of the Pacific MDR. We we is a quiet corner and it felt like a cozy local restaurant, we never felt like we were eating with 500 other people. Our wait staff, Donald, Luis and Dewar made our trip more than memorable. I cant say enough good about the entire dining experience 5. The entertainment was non stop through out the ship. There were activities for all age groups. The main show called Livin In America should have had an R rating. Not good for little children, very sexually suggestive and too much skin. The other show was a rock and roll tribute, it was terrific. 6. Service throughout the ship was spot on. There when you needed it but never overdone or "in your face" 7. CRUISE DIRECTOR: A Cruise Director can make or break a cruise. Our Cruise Director Felipe was hands down the Best of the Best. He managed to touch everyone in our group. 8. Ports of call Key West and Cozumel, great time, much better than the Bahamas. Read Less

We drove to FL and parked at the Jet Port parking. Very easy to find right off of I-95 and if you get there for the first 10:30 departure is very quick to board the bus and they take care of your luggage. They drop you off at the port and load your luggage on the carnival cart. The next we saw our bags they were in our room! Embarkation was a breeze. We are old fashioned and took just our BC and drivers license since departing from a US port and returning.(we intend on getting passports) We were through and on board with a Margarita by 11:15am. The ship is very accommodating but could get very crowded around the Lido deck bars and eateries. The buffet was very crowded at meal times, We enjoyed the dining room dinners but opted to skip the formal dinner. We were told that dressing up would be semi optional for Carnival was trying to get away from people feeling they are too dressed up or not enough. I think the atmosphere was semi casual rather than formal, with a few exceptions. Although casual was swim suits in the buffet and should have been left for sunbathing! Guys burgers was our favorite! My only complaint was with the Serenity adults only deck. Was not too crowded as i have seen in other reviews however, it is located near the entrance to the slide. When the slide was backed up on sea days the attendant looped the line into the serenity area. There were 20 kids lined up jumping and screaming while serenity guests were sunbathing and relaxing., This should be corrected with the line left out in the slide entrance area. The age in serenity is 21 and older for a reason!!!!! Entertainment was enjoyable. My husband was asked to join the classic rock band in the casino for a few songs. He is a drummer and played right along. We also joined in on the Military gathering on the last day. Very heart warming and our cruise had the original Top Gun author that wrote the book made into the movie on board along with the GPS founder. Would not have known this unless i attended. A few tears shed and great military stories from passengers. A must if future cruises offer!!! We carried our luggage off the boat since we did not have a flight to catch. Just as easy as boarding!!!! Read Less

Our family of seven went on the cruise from Miami to Mexico on April 30 to May 4. This was my first cruise trip and we really enjoyed. We had much fun in the ship. The best part is the food. We enjoyed the different varieties of food and kind service of waiters. We really appreciate Chef Finto Paul for feeding the good number of people with variety of food. We enjoyed the food and we have no complaints whatsoever. We really enjoyed the array of food with different country themes. The service of the waiters was excellent. I think of two of the waiters--Mafe and Loving (I think this was her name) for their amazing service. We applaud Chef Paul and his crew for the food service in Carnival Victor. I would really recommend my other family to take this cruise to Mexico or to Bahamas. Hats off to Chef Finto Paul and his team. Read Less

We cruise often, and this was about our 15th cruise. (I lost count). This is our 4th cruise with Carnival. Our first one was on Inspiration out of Tampa, which we really enjoyed. Our 2nd Carnival cruise was on Imagination out of Miami, which was just okay. It wasn't perfect, but it wasn't completely awful either. Our 3rd Carnival cruise was on Paradise out of Tampa, and it was before the ship went through dry dock, and it was absolutely horrible. I won't even go into detail because this review is for Victory. However, Paradise was the ship that made us decide not to cruise with Carnival again for over 3 years. But then came Victory. She had just been through dry dock, and had a lot of new things added. We are so glad that we chose Victory for our vacation, because it was the ship that made us decide that it's okay to cruise with Carnival again. :) EMBARKATION: Went very smoothly. CABIN: We had cabin 6432, which is a cabin that has an extended balcony near the aft of the ship. This was the best cabin we've ever had on any cruise ship we've been on, and our stateroom attendant was the best. It was spotless, and we loved the extended balcony. CREW: The entire crew that we had the pleasure to meet, were so polite and nice, and made us feel some welcomed. DINING: We are buffet people, and prefer the buffet, because we like to eat when we're hungry, and prefer not to sit and be waited on while we wait for our meal. Therefore, I can't say how the main dining is, however, we found the buffet wonderful. The hamburger at Guy's Burgers were delicious, and their fixings bar for the burger is absolutely amazing. The pizza was very good, as well. ENTERTAINMENT: We didn't attend the main shows, however, we relaxed in the atrium of the ship and there was a lot of good entertainment there. They had a male country singer that was very good, and they had entertainers that played the steel drums, which were also very good. The entire ship was very clean, and there isn't anything I can say bad about our cruise. I would cruise on Victory again without hesitation. We plan on spending our cruise vacation for 2019 on another Carnival ship, because they have an Eastern Caribbean itinerary that we are interested in. We just haven't decided which ship yet. Just being able to spend the day at Half Moon was worth the trip! I wish we could have stayed longer! I was sceptical about tendering but it was a double deck tender and it fit at least 150 -200 ppl so it went real fast! As it turns the pathway corner to get into the island is gorgeous! The BBQ was not bad either - the selection was pretty darn good and I am particular. The chocolate brownies were scrumptious - different texture that I would love to be able to have the recipe for...crumbly but moist. The weather started cloudy but by 11 am it had cleared; however, even if it hadn’t the day would have been just as great clouded over. The water was crystal turquoise blue and clear to the bottom with no waves. It was like a perfect watering hole - I fell in love with it and wished we could have stayed loner! The cruise ship was packed with spring break families and the embarkation was easy - the buffet was a little nerve racking because there were line ups everywhere but everybody got to eat in due time. Night entertainment was pretty decent too.Fitness centre excellent! Can’t complain about anything! This was a party boat - everybody was game to live it up! If you don’t like crowds then this is not for you. We neither love it nor do we hate it. Nassau was also gorgeous - we took a taxi to Paradise Island where we bought a $47.00 pp pass to walk the resort and visit the aquariums and then spend time at the hotel beach. It was well worth the pass to see the premises. We even got a free tour from Caitlin at the aquarium who explained everything about the fish and the site highlights. Great little cruise! Read Less

Just got off the Victory this morning and I miss it already. From beginning to end the Victory was a great exerience. Had a suite-level state room with priority boarding and got right on with no issues. Cabin was clean and spacious and our steward (Evelyn) was very attentive. Great looking ship - had a lot of charm and style. Dining was good - not great - not bad - and the lido buffet had tons of options. Highly recommend Guy's Burger Joint , the Seafood Shack and the Deli. Entertainment was great and fun and our cruise director Felippe was hands down the most entertaining on the ship. We did go to comedy club one night - very funny - and the piano bar sing along was a blast. Loved the very hairy chest contest - super funny and they kept it (somewhat) clean for the younger kids on board. Key West was great - although we felt we didn't get to spend enough time there. Visit Hemmingway's house!! Cozumel was fantastic - best day of the trip - great port and with the Cozumel Plus we had a lot of time to explore. Service was excellent, staff were friendly and fun. I have nothing at all bad to say about this cruise and have already booked my next one. Read Less

Just returned from a 10 day all adult (thank God) charter on Carnival Victory. Ship had recently been in the shipyards being updated, and had all new rooms. Added was USB charging, but no power plugs at head of beds anymore. Also added motion sensor floor lighting under closets so one doesn’t stub their toe going to restroom at night. Vent in top of room also changed- cannot be adjusted. Either blows full blast arctic, or you can leave your balcony door cracked to disable the sensor to turn vent off. The brain trust at Carnival really messed this up- frigid or off. Be prepared. Our room steward filled it with towels, which also helped. Also, don’t expect to get any work done or check emails too often. Agonizingly slooooow internet. Don’t even bother with it. I realize it’s satellite but with the fees they charge, Carnival should buy ample bandwidth. And now the biggie...Carnival is now too cheap to pay for network TV. No CBS, NBC, ABC, or FOX, and only the Trump-bashing Constantly Negative Network (CNN). So you had better set your DVR to record your favorite TV shows, since some bone-headed executive at Carnival decided to pull the plug on your TV to save a nickel (and hope you’ll buy another expensive drink instead). Onboard movies on the TV are ones in which the copyright expired long ago (so it doesn’t cost Carnival anything). Raiders of Lost Ark, Sleepless in Seattle, ET, etc. Really? TCM movie channel no better. Sports programming (including sports bar) limited to International ESPN feed (Carnival won’t pay the fee for decent satellite sports). Oh, and here’s my good tip for you. Don’t be fooled by the dress-up elegant night and lug along a bunch of fancy clothes. It’s all so you’ll get your pictures made after dinner and buy one of the exorbitantly high priced photos. Shorts, tee shirt, and hoodie or parka are perfectly fine for dinner. No one can see what you’re wearing anyway under the dining room tablecloths. Food was fine, and the freezing dining room helped everyone to stay awake during the hour and a half long dinners. My biggest issue with the cruise is the Carnival product is getting stale. If you made a Carnival cruise 5, or 10, or more years ago, nothing really changes or evolves. Carnival seems to be in a time warp. That all being said... all the cruise lines are really the same. When someone says such and such cruise line is better, press them for why? Really...Why??? They won't be able to give you specifics. Carnival has its issues, but they’re no different than any other line. It was a perfectly fine cruise. They all are. My review may sound like I’m a grump, but not really. I’m actually Platinum and will cruise again. It was all just pretty much standard Carnival. It is what it is. Read Less

We’ve done the same cruise last two years. Cheap cruise, but excellent time. We got engaged on the victory in 2015. We went again the same week in 2016 and got married in Key West on the second day. The whole crew was excellent the entire week. Super bar tenders that we attended all week. I honestly have zero complaints. The food in the dining room is just ok, but we are fine with that for the price we paid. We already have a spring break cruise booked on carnival triumph for the family in March. We had a suite so we had the faster to the fun. I don’t think we will go again without it. It is worth every penny. As for the ports, Key West is awesome. They had cleaned up nicely from the hurricane. Looking forward to going back again. Cozumel, is what it is. Very touristy, but a fun time. Read Less

My husband and I married last year and are both in our 50's. Neither of us had ever gone on a cruise or travel much. We have friends and family that cruise often, however decided to plan primarily based on our own instincts and schedule. The 4 day Western Caribbean cruise offered by Carnival on the Victory was our choice for schedule, itinerary and price. We embarked on Monday 9/4 after spending a few "pre-cruise" days in Miami at the beach and shopping. The embarkation was staggered by pre-selected time and went fairly well; I have nothing else to compare it to however it was organized and simple. Our cabin was on the 8th deck which we chose because of the balcony. It was very clean, large enough for the 2 of us and simply yet well appointed. The biggest dining choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner was the buffet on the Lido deck, which was similar fare daily for breakfast, but changed daily for lunch and dinner. There are also 2 large dining rooms to accommodate those who want a more formal experience. The menus change nightly and you are waited on hand and foot. One night I selected the surf and turf, which we did have to pay extra for, however was worth it. There is tons of entertainment for young and old alike. They have embarkation and disembarkation parties, dance lessons, various singers, bingo, a comedy club, casino, fitness room, several pools and saunas, as well as many wonderful shows. The staff was amazing and the cruise director Felipe Couto was engaging, hysterical ("woohoo") and had a amazing group of talented folks to keep us entertained. Our trip to the Keys was a lot of the typical tourist stuff with shopping and restaurants. Shuttles were provided from the port to the tourist district. Our trip to Cozumel was cut short by about 6 hours due to the impending arrival of Hurricane Irma. We arrived back at Port Miami on Thursday evening the 7th rather than Friday the 8th because the captain wanted to make sure that folks who had an opportunity to catch flights or who lived in the effected areas and needed to prepare for Irma had the chance to do so. Because of the hurricane, the remainder of us who had flights cancelled and no where to go, were offered by Carnival to stay onboard. About a quarter of the folks including my husband and I opted to stay. We were taken toward Cuba and remained there skirting Irma for the next 4 days. There was tons of communication from our cruise director and the captain multiple times throughout letting us know what was going on. The staff was truly amazing from the cabin stewards to the chef staff all the way up to the captain himself. They kept us busy and lent an ear to make sure we were ok. Everything remained just as nice as it had been and it was clearly evident that our well being was first and foremost. On 9/11, there was a moment of silence for the many lives lost with an American flagged draped over the main lobby. There was some repair work being done to the Victory during those 4 days, however it did not impede or effect our ability to maintain a schedule very much similar to the prior portion of the cruise except there were no ports of call, which we understood up front. We were extremely grateful for the care and concern for everyone's safety in a situation where Miami was under mandatory evacuation and many had no where to go. In summary, we are not world travelers therefore perhaps our expectations are plebeian. Regardless, I would not hesitate to recommend Carnival and the staff of the Victory if you are looking for a reasonably priced get-away with people who truly treat you like family, in good times and bad. My husband and I are currently planning our next adventure and it will be on Carnival. Read Less
