We started off the cruise by staying 3 nights at the Singapore InterContinental. The ship was as not the Solstice class which we like but has been so called solsticised. Which means that about 25% of the space from the upper level of the dining room and about 15% of the lower level has been removed for other restaurants and it seems the seating capacity stayed the same by moving the tables ...
Wife and self took the two week cruise on January 17th to Vietnam, Philippines and Hongkong. We were in Room 8063 (Conceirge class).
The pros; (i) the room with the balcony was reasonably clean.
(ii) The service was good
(iii) The meals were average although the pizza was good.
(iv) The night shows were average with the exception of the ...
To be honest I have probably over rated At average, I think its below, but not quite poor. This was our first ocean cruise if this nature. We are seaworthy, having done many other types of vessels, both river and ocean going. We booked 18 months before hand and had the most appalling experience from then on, getting online, customer assistance, and then to add to it they cancelled our original ...
The price was right and we always wanted to go to Singapore and Bali and Malaysia so we booked it. Worst cruise ever. The ports of call were OK, Bali and Komodo were a disappointment but Phuket, Penang, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore were all fabulous ports of call. But the ship itself was a joke. Everyone, including staff, got sick by the 2nd day, and the food had to be served to you by servers with ...
First, critics who mention the condition of the ship are partially correct, the Millennium is showing her age and has some tired areas, but she is due shortly for retrofit.
As for the noro virus outbreak, not unusual in this age for the cruise industry, the crew and officers kicked into high gear to control the illness. We can always tell when noro virus is creeping about as procedures change ...
Our journey began in Singapore, stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Clarke Quay would highly recommend it. Great location, staff, within walking distance to China Town, etc.
We also stayed in Singapore post cruise for a few days. Great city to experience. Don't miss eating at the Hawker stalls near Chinatown, wonderful food.
Ship: Although Millie is in need of her redo, that will be ...
...... the kind of X-cellent cruise experience we've come to expect. We did a B2B (01/03/16 and 01/17/16) to tally one full month aboard Celebrity Millennium. Overall, anything I might add to the review that detracts from the overall 5 Star rating I gave this cruise experience are minor nits.
Millennium is the oldest ship in Celebrity's fleet. It goes in for a major overhaul in April but will ...
We are Elite members of the Celebrity Captains club so we know a Celebrity ship or two. This was a poor choice of cruise and a massive disappointment for a number of reasons. Firstly the ship was unclean. From pretty much the get go there was Norovirus on board. I spent days 3 and 4 in my cabin having been very unwell. Speaking to a senior officer later they said that although they asked unwell ...
We had a wonderful honeymoon aboard the Celebrity Millenium. The staff were fantastic and the service was great. We tendered in all ports of call but two, but tendering went smoother than we had anticipated and we hardly had any wait times to get a tender going ashore or coming back to the ship.
The food was alright, but there could have been a bit more variety in the main dining room as ...
