Great experience overall with some notable misses

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

Overall we had a great time. The crew, service, and ship condition were top-notch. There were, however, some disappointments. Food: Portion sizes, unlike other cruise lines, are still ample. The Oceanview Cafe buffet is fantastic, especially the fresh-baked croissants, pizza and omelet stations. One notable disappoint across the ship is desserts. All the cakes start with a dry spongecake that ...

A very enjoyable, relaxing cruise

We have cruised on multiple cruise lines and were very surprised and pleased with Celebrity this year. Most cruise lines are moving toward add-ons of upscale dining packages, drink packages, photography packages, etc. Celebrity did not pressure anyone at anytime to purchase additional packages and we found this very comfortable. It was available for you to choose, but no one taking pictures at ...

I can't say enough about the staff throughout the ship; always smiling, asking about your day and always wishing you a great day. The three staff directly responsible for our well being, room steward, waiter and his assistant, were all top notch. We booked all our shore excursion directly with Celebrity which was easy and efficient. The nice part doing that was they had staff on the pier to ...

This was our 6th cruise with Celebrity and our 1st cruise on board the Millenium. My wife and I travelled with 3 other couples and we all stayed in midship balcony cabins. We arrived to San Juan two days early to enjoy the weather and get back into vacation mode. Our last cruise was 3 years ago on the Summit. It was one of the last cruises pre Covid. We finally felt safe to travel this far ...

This will be a detailed post, therefore to help people less interested in details, I will begin with a short summary and add a few destination pictures at the end. Our itinerary: Southern Caribbean: San Juan Puerto-Rico, St Thomas U.S. Virgin Islands, St.Kitts, St. Johns Antigua, St. Lucia, Bridgetown Barbados and return to San Juan. Summary: After hearing about post pandemic cut-backs ...

Drastically Needed To Relax--Mission Accomplished

We've wanted to cruise Celebrity for three years and due to covid moved this cruise twice. We've had an hiatus of 5 years, our review compares some of our previous experiences, and what occurred in Feburary 2023. Let's also for the record indicate we are both now in our 70s, Cruising with Celebrity since 2000. Embarcation-fast, smooth, yeah for technology. I did have a problem seeing my sea ...

First time on Celebrity. I was with a group of 15. Also first time on a smaller ship. I loved it! Not so crowded. Never had trouble getting a chair around the pool. All of the crew were genuinely interested in my experience. Always smiling, always cleaning. Sure with a smaller ship there are less activities going on, but I did not mind that. Persian Garden spa was a delight. Food was ...

We chose this cruise to celebrate our anniversary/birthdays. The itinerary ports of call were some of our favorite islands and we had been extremely impressed on our previous Celebrity cruises with the food and service. This was our first return to a ship since the pandemic, so we were very excited to return. We had stayed overnight in San Juan and were able to embark at 12:00. The process was ...

Charged my credit card every day?

This is my ocean cruise number 25 so I think I can be objective. It was called: 7 NIGHT SOUTHERN CARIBBEAN CRUISE. I took this cruise thinking that Celebrity was a notch better that Holland America according to other cruisers. I had a "Concierge" stateroom 9189. The ship was not what I expected at all! The most amazing thing for me is that they charged my credit card daily, for 11 times, and for ...

Was looking forward to this itenerary, we had sailed a similar cruise a few years ago and really enjoyed it. We enjoyed the ports on this cruise quite a lot - there were a couple ports that we hadn't seen and were terrific (loved Domenica). The ship and the service were both okay, but not great. The ship, despite its makeover a few years ago, is showing its age. Not everything has been ...
