We prepared for our Disney Wonder cruise with a lot of negative misgivings: we had been to the ports NUMEROUS times; how much Goofy can you stand?; and, a lot of screaming kids. We were completely blown away with a great cruise. We were not traveling with children or grandchildren, and we thought that we would be swamped with kids. Not so.
The embarkation was absolutely a breeze. We arrived in ...
My wife and I and a couple of friends just returned home from a 7 night cruise on the Disney Wonder to Key West, Castaway Cay and Nassau. We have sailed with a number of other cruise lines but wanted to give Disney a try as we had heard very good reports from people we know about their experience with Disney. Well, the reports were on target. We are in our 60s and so were our friends and we all ...
It's been a few years since our last Disney Cruise, but we just got home yesterday and are missing it already!
It was just me and my daughter this time. She's a high school senior now, but couldn't stop talking about taking another Disney Cruise, so we scheduled one and had been counting down the days till our Thanksgiving Cruise (had always gone over spring break before).
We set sail from ...
First off, let me say that we have only been on one cruise before, it was a Carnival cruise back in the day when we were party animals. We hated that cruise, so many kids and families everywhere, swore never to go on a cruise again. Well, once we had a child of our own our attitude changed quickly, we wanted to take him somewhere more than just the beach, but we needed an all inclusive type deal. ...
It started out just fine, meet and greet at airport was spot on. Smiles expected.
Ride down to port driver forgot to start video, rusulted in unhappy children. We were
Last to board lunch Buffett was closing. Meals were sad at best, except for Palo and lobster night.
Cabin was adequate, on the small side. Didn't like the spilt bath, due to the reduced size. Cabin steward was wonderful. Made ...
My long-time high school friend went with me on my first Disney cruise; the Wonder, 7 nights sailing the western Caribbean out of Galveston. I had no idea what to expect, on any level, and wow, was I pleasantly surprised!
We arrived at our parking lot about 10:30 and were immediately loaded on their shuttle bus and taken straight to the pier. Check-in was flawless, but we did have to wait a while ...
Hello everyone, Just got back yesterday from our Wonder cruise. It was our second cruise and our first with DCL.
First off I would rate our cruise 7/10.
Ship was in great condition, barely saw any signs of aging at all, was just almost always very clean and tidy (sometimes return towel bins would overflow lol) but overall VERY pretty and nice ship. The maintenance crew is doing an amazing job ...
HEAR YE! HEAR YE! COURT IS NOW IN SESSION!
BE SEATED!
Judge: This court is called to order to address the following charge: The accused are charged with being Disney fans first, and cruisers second. How do you plead?
90% of the Dis Wonder Cruisers: We'll take the Fifth.
Judge: I'm just asking for a plea right now....
90%: But we want another fifth of Bourbon....
Judge: Do you understand?? ...
This was our 3rd Disney Cruise and our 2nd in 2013. We booked this one because the deal was too good to pass up.
We had sailed on both the Dream and Fantasy and this was our first cruise on one of the older ships. We also took a smaller stateroom to take advantage of the great rate.
Our stateroom was in the aft and we had a navigators verandah...we definitely prefer the deluxe family ocean view ...
This was the first cruise for all three of us (husband, 7-year-old daughter and myself). This was a birthday gift to our daughter for her 7th birthday, and it was the best birthday present ever - for all of us! Disney is generally out of our price range (and we live in MN, so also pretty hard to get to a port), but the "Farewell to Galveston port" prices were reasonable, and we were able to drove ...
