Robbery and disappointment

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Quark Ultramarine

6-10 Cruises • Age 60s

The main reason we were on this cruise is because we had no other option. We purchased a 2 for 1 Deal to do the special Shackleton 100 Years Celebration Expedition Cruise but we couldn’t get to it because our State Government in Queensland Australia didn’t open up regarding Covid-19 until a few days prior to the trip. The Economy flight per person was over AU$10K and time taken was 67 hours each ...

The Best Trip of My Life!

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Quark Ultramarine

2-5 Cruises • Age 50s

I'd heard about Quark as a result of starting out as a solo traveller (or passenger number 3) and with Quark they have limited solo cabins and cabins where 3 people can share. I have no words for this trip. It was everything plus much much more than I could possibly have imagined. The ship is spectacular as it's brand new and has everything that's possibly needed on an expedition cruise to ...

An Amazing Ship and Trip

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Quark Ultramarine

DavidSHB
2-5 Cruises • Age 30s

I selected Quark and the Ultramarine for a group trip to Antarctica based on their strong polar operations history, the comfort and amenities of the new ship, the excursion opportunities, and the expedition's itinerary. And, while I don't have personal experience traveling to Antarctica with another company to compare against - I felt that Quark delivered on all of these key areas. Here's ...

I was told that Quark was the best and they didn’t disappoint The crew were amazing with their knowledge and commitment not just to giving us the best experience but to Antarctica itself The crew worked hard to get us out on zodiacs and onto land And to teach us about Antarctica , the history and wildlife They were friendly, caring and supportive I travelled with so many like ...

I booked my Antarctica trip with Quark Expeditions before the pandemic hit. It was then cancelled twice but Quark was great with working with me to get rebooked each time. I finally made it to Antarctica on their newer ship, Ultramarine. It was an amazing experience. The ship itself is wonderful. The rooms are spacious, the food was amazing and it has the added benefit of having helicopters ...

We were a group of 4 from Singapore on Quark Expedition's voyage on the Ultramarine to Antarctica over the New Year and it was a most memorable experience for the following reasons, in no particular order of priority.: (a) Very new and comfortable ship, with excellent cabins with balconies and heated ensuite bathrooms. (b) Seamless and attentive transfers from the meeting point at a hotel in ...

I went on an 11-day expedition to Antarctica with Quark on the Ultramarine ship from Dec-Jan 2022/2023 and the trip was amazing! Leading up to the trip, they were very responsive by email and the paperwork process was very organized. The sites, wildlife, excursions, and overall experience was better than I could have ever imagined. The expedition lead and staff were top notch. They were very ...

Amazing Antarctica Expedition

That Quark only does the Arctic regions and that they have a brand new state of the art ship, the Ultramarine, made the choice of expedition cruise line easy. Additionally, the itinerary of following the epic expedition of Sir Ernest Shackleton I knew would be very special. Quark exceeded my expectations in every way. The ship’s physical spaces were well designed and comfortable. My ...

Quark’s Maiden Voyage on Ultramarine

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Quark Ultramarine

6-10 Cruises • Age 50s

The itinerary, the ship and the world class quark expedition team were expectation exceeding in every way. The Covid measures were so well applied and managed that we are one of the few ships returning home with zero positive cases. I can’t say enough about the team. They were always around helping to spot wildlife, answer a question or deliver an enriching talk on such a wide variety ...
