Balcony cabin Carnival Mardi Gras - longer than basic with no additional cost, can accommodate a lounger if you ask for it
Carnival Mardi Gras Cabin large balcony at no extra cost that can accommodate a lounger; and the cabin has a pullman bed which is great with three people, so that the couch can be used for sitting.

Carnival knows how to cut corners
"No camp Carnival because of the small number of kids so what do you think there was to do for families the first day and half with the waterpark closed. The button on the doors, the cabin door that opens only ¾’s of the way and you have to drag your bag in sideways; first step outside your patio door to the balcony, view from the balcony into the balcony below not the ocean; the “night stands” and the sunken Livingroom feature in the way too small Serenity pool area...."Read More

A Wonderful Week on the Carnival Mardi Gras

Review for Carnival Mardi Gras to Caribbean - Western

Our family of three had a great week on the Cozumel, Costa Maya, Roatan itinerary of the Carnival Mardi Gras. We had a balcony cabin which I highly recommend for the larger than ordinary balcony size (many on deck 10, at no additional cost) which can and did accommodate a lounger, which we asked be added for us. You can spot the larger than usual balconies if you study the deck plans; don't ...

Great service staff, lackluster shows, hit or miss food.

This review does not come from an avid cruiser, and it has been many years since my last cruise, so should be taken with that grain of salt, but I would say, in a word, the carnival Mardi Gras was " good". Not great, not bad. I do not necessarily think it was leagues above the other carnival ships we had sailed on in the past, and I suppose this was the expectation considering that it is they're ...

Going to try and make this as informative and short as possible while trying to break it down into categories. Embarkation- This Terminal is huge and they have it pretty well planned out. The extra "COVID" checking moves right along and with an 11:00AM check-in time we were on-board by 12:10. Cabin ready by 1:30 and luggage was already at the door. In case your wondering, we are Gold level ...

It tool a very long time to finally get on the ship from September last year. With all the hype we could not help being excited to cruise again especially on the NEW Mardi Gras. Right at the start. We were really disappointed. We have been diamond for a very long time. Next cruise will be the 50th on Carnival. No Priority boarding unless you had a suite. 1-1/2 hours to get on the ship. I am not ...

Nice New Ship but glad it wasn't Full Capacity

This was my 24th cruise overall with 3/4 of them on Carnival ships. We were a group of 4 (55-73 yrs old) in side by side cabins with our balconies "connected" by a simple request from our Cabin Steward. Overall we enjoyed our cruise on the Mardi Gras... We asked around and were told it was sailing at 60% capacity during our time onboard. They could definitely improve the Embarkation by ...

We wanted to experience the best Carnival had to offer and we also wanted to be out for at least 14 days. The ship itself is amazing in its design. The little touches and the Grand statements add up to a really unique ship. And to top it off they staffed the ship with the best performing people they have. Not just the entertainment staff but staff at every position are up to the Flagship ...

What a ship!!

We''ve been on the Vista, Symphony, Adventure of the Seas and now the Mardi Gras in the past 3 years. All but the AOS (which we chose because it was the ONLY ship sailing in early July) were in their maiden years. This ship IMHO beats them all, even the SOS. Sensory overload from the second you step into the ship's Central Stage. This venue was by far our favorite, from morning to night. Just ...

Wonderful Cruise on Beautiful New Ship!

We just go off the most amazing new ship the Mardi Gras! The ship is beautiful and the staff was excellent! We enjoyed the Atrium on the side of the ship where they had multiple shows and music. The Serenity deck has so many places for couples to sit together, clamshells and day beds and plenty of loungers. A lot in the shade for those of us who do not want to be in direct sun all the time. ...

Pretty Good, but Headed for Troubled Waters at Full Capacity

Review for Carnival Mardi Gras to Caribbean - Western

Review at a Glance (TLDR): - I would give a 3.5/5 if half ratings were possible. I rounded down because I foresee major issues as passenger numbers ramp up towards capacity. - 60% capacity (3,875 passengers) - Excursions are highlight experiences and should definitely be booked in Cozumel and Costa Maya - There is enough to do in Rotan to forego booking an excursion in favor of the ...
