1-10 of 11 P&O Australia Pacific Adventure Cruise Reviews
First time back cruising after Covid. Wanted to dip our toes in to see how it was. And I was pleasantly surprised. We had booked a Byron Bay Mini Suite because I wanted to try out the club area. But a week before the cruise we were given an upgrade to a Suite. Don’t know why? But hey, I’ll take it.
I had read all the reviews on this forum and was a bit concerned about what we would find. But it ...
We decided that because we had lost 4 people close to us in early 2022 that we would take a relaxing cruise to put such a challenging year behind us. It also meant that we would not have to worry about getting Christmas dinner and could just sit back and enjoy the festivities of Christmas.
The cabins are very tired, marked and in need of refurbishment. The staff do not listen to your requests ...
Although the crew were fantastic, the ship is in poor form. It really is rough around the edges which is interesting since P&O had 2 years to sort it. Parts of the ship decks inside and outside stink of a sewerage or waste type odour. Since sailing on the Pacific Sun, Jewel, Pearl & Aria, there is a substantial lack of activities - unless you are interested in bingo and trivia every 3 hours. ...
Embarking. 2 hours to get on ship were greeted handouts to get wifi, photo studio information and spa deals! I dont remember any other staff with a welcome aboard hello.
This was 4th cruise with P&O and will be our last.
We requested early dining thinking it would be about 5.45 to 6.00 but we were booked in at 5.15 every day we did request a later sitting and was refused so we couldn't take ...
There were some good and some bad aspects to the cruise experience, overall P&O are providing a service and product reflective of their expected or anticipated guests and not aiming at 5 star levels for any of their services and price point.
The SHIP - overall liked the ship and the facilities generally provided onboard, much better and more cosy than the Allure of the Seas - mega ship, the ...
We chose this trip based on the videos, advertising and the website hype. First trip away from family at Christmas Time. We are mature age couple.
We have sailed P&O before as well as Royal Caribbean.
We want to be fair doing this review as sometimes a negative review is too powerful and outweighs the positives.
1. Embarkation was slow and no identification of lines to go to as we had VIP ...
Wifi that we paid $20/ day for wasn’t working until the second day as the “wifi specialist wasn’t there.” On the second day we went to get the wifi details and apparently browsing the internet wasn’t included in what I paid (despite the package stating it was) and I had to upgrade my wifi by paying another $27 - making my total wifi bill $107 even tho I couldn’t stream movies etc AND I only had ...
This was our 5th cruise, the second with P&O and it will be our last with them.
Embarkation - quick, we were in the "NOT VeriFly" lane and the difference was nothing, we had to prove we had been vaccinated but no proof of being test Covid free, you just had to state it. (same question in the VeriFly lane according to our friends.) Other than that a smooth boarding.
Disembarkation - late but ...
This was our first P&O cruise. The photos of the newly refurbished ship were impressive but once on board, it looked very different to the photos.
The refurbished carpets & bars were beautiful however they should have at the very least recarpeted the whole ship.
Mismatched dagggy old carpets throughout hallways, foyers and staterooms joined onto the new carpet which made the refurbishment ...
We chose this cruise as it had been 2019 since our last cruise. Embarkation was great. It only took us less than 20 minutes from the time we arrived at the passenger terminal til the time that we were on the ship. Our only criticism of the boarding process was the fact that P&O did not require proof of our covid status. This means that guests could board with Covid-19.
Despite the fact that ...
