Christmas Cruise to the Islands.
"P&O need to seriously review this approach, much prefer a standard set always available selection on one side and a daily changed option on the other (as all other cruises i've been on), just far too limited in choice - The meals were hit & miss but we did have some great food and overall would give it a 6-7/10 score - Breakfast menu didn't change in any way - negative and product not as good overall to other meals - Paid options - did not like this option of paying extra for a coupe of entree selections and main selections $11 to $40 (steak/prawn) - don't understand why steak and seafood aren't on the menu, happy to pay a bit extra to go to a speciality dining venue but this wasn't open (don't know why, possible staffing issues), not happy to fork out extra at the main dining for steak/prawns - Lobster/crab/oysters - maybe - Christmas dinner (same throughout ship) was pretty terrible and a big disappointment, very dried out Turkey, yucky brusselsprouts, dry potatoes - some stuffing, no Apple Sauce - the ham was apparently a lot nicer.- Shows - big let down with some very ordinary performers, some well passed their peak and reflected in the very poor audience attendance, even although there was not much else to do, A couple of the artists were okay but they doubled them up so for a couple of nights so you had to endure the same performer - different tunes (can't say if any improvement as didn't go back for seconds), the two comedians that come on for over 18yrs after the main show (only 2 performances) were quite good, the Christmas show by the ships entertainment team was probably the best show overall as it has multiple performers and some singing/dancing/theatre along with the Magician/comedian...."Read More

WORST CRUISE EVER !!!

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Pacific Adventure

Singularly the worst cruise i've ever been on, and i've been many, with more booked this year. The good points.. The ship was clean and the staff were great - particularly the cabin crew we had. But.. The food was disgraceful.. All complimentary areas were cheap slop - heavily cooked mince or shredded meat pieces in sloppy vegetables or god knows what. And for a piece of fish? Cheap, deep ...

Worst cruise imaginable - You have been warned

Wow, P&O, you absolutely ruined my holiday, 2 weeks and my hard eared cash down the drain because of your corporate greed for profit over customer satisfaction. We will never set foot on a P&O ship ever again. We have sailed five times with other cruise companies, namely, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. Decided to give P&O a try as pricing was very competitive. What a huge mistake, it was ...

Penthouse suite perspective.

The suite was superb, the deck, massive. Aft cabin. Quite a bit of noise from the wash behind but I expected that. Cabin staff were superb, cannot fault them. With the suite came perks. Fruit bowls, snack trays and these were unnexpected. Large packets of chips and peanuts and chocolates. These went to our cabin staff so they were enjoying that. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud - just ...

Very sad

We chose this cruise (P&O Pacific Adventure) to be with the family and it was a short cruise. Sadly the food was really bad, we even gave the chef of the Italian restaurant cart blanche to make a meal with lots of veggies. It was more Thai than Italian and very unhealthy to eat. With very few veggies. The shows were very loud too. The dancers had great energy but sadly they killed a lot of ...

Great cruise. Port visits were fantastic. Recommend preselecting the rotational dining in the restaurants, saves the hassle of booking the restaurants once onboard. Restaurant food ok, Angelo’s being the highlight. Dragon Lady was not that good. Definitely recommend Blanc de Blanc show - worth the extra cost. Shore tours cheaper when booked direct rather than via ship. Bingo has ...

We have cruised on PO Explorer a couple of times, this is our 8th Cruise in total. PO Adventure is the worst of the lot! The menu is repetitive in the main buffet area, the desserts were a 2/10 very hit and miss. The Dragon lady restaurant that use to be our favourite ia completely different, main stream Chinese food and not unique or interesting at all. Angelo's leaves a lot to be desired. The ...

I wanted to visit Kangaroo Island and just wanted to do another cruise.Embarkation was a disaster as they had a computer glitch and all our photo ids had to be redone prior to boarding. The food was satisfactory overall but some of the complimentary restaurants like Dragon Lady and Angelo’s was very disappointing. Some of the fellow passengers cancelled their 2nd booking at these 2 places. The ...

We decided to take this cruise, not only to go to the Melbourne cup but to see if cruises were to our taste. Big mistake We should have picked a cruise line where we could stomach the food and learn infinite patience in the art of queuing. The restaurants that are available and included in the fare are subpar to say the least. We ate at one of the restaurants that you pay for and found it ...

Firstly the bad. This was our 10th cruise and our first with P & O since 2013 Poor embarkation. We are in our 70's and were made to stand in queue for more than 90 minutes. We think P & O would have had enough practice to get it right by now. Our cabin toilet failed on four occasions. Thankfully it was fixed immediately. The hand wash soap in the rest rooms appears very watery. Watered down ...

I have previously cruised with Princess and Norwegian and for me, the Pacific Adventure is better. It is comfortable, relaxed, priced right and the food is generally good, though the breakfast in the Pantry is ordinary. The entertainment is generally excellent. The Marque shows are top shelf. Also tipping is included. Of course you are free to tip if you wish. I don't quite get it, that most ...
