This was our first time sailing with Emerald and our second river cruise (the first was Egypt with Avalon - not our favourite experience).
The Wonders of the Mekong tour was outstanding. We did the combined land/river cruise and the accomodations, food, itinerary, guides and ship staff were all incredible. The itinerary was perfectly paced and allowed for adequate breaks/rest between ...
Always wanted to got to Vietnam and Cambodia and had to wait due to Covid. This was a special trip for a 60th, 70th and 30th wedding anniversary for our small party.
The boat was 5 star as was the food, the staff and the included tours. So much choice in the restaurant and staff was friendly, efficient and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble, we were totally spoilt.
The tour guides ...
The whole trip was through Emerald River Cruises.
The region ,Angkor Wat and other temples are all brilliant . Makes it difficult to imagine as to how they were constructed those many hundreds of years ago.
All guides were very informative with the local history and the meanings of the many temples and statues.
All villages, towns along the Mekong were different, some relied on coco-nut ...
We booked Emerald’s 13-day Wonders of Vietnam, Cambodia & the Mekong going from Siem Reap, Cambodia to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Booking procedures online was easy, and all questions were answered cheerfully and immediately. We especially liked the Trip Personaliser, which packaged passenger data, transport data, visa data and gave gentle reminders re incomplete items. The fine backpacks and ...
This was a cruise that we had booked originally in 2020- cancelled because of Covid. Since then we had heard of a few issues with Emerald customer service and indeed did find some problems trying to speak to a representative in the early days of booking . However they have totally redeemed themselves with the service since, from the rucksacks sent out , booking our seats on Premium Economy as ...
We happened upon this cruise as the orginal cruise ship we had booked on - which was being renovated - was not ready on time. We were by no means disappointed and feel we had a marvellous experience. The ship is essentially very new. it only saw six months service, then COVID shut it down for over two years, so it has very good feel.
We only did the seven night cruise and not the longer tour ...
We had previously completed the cruise element of this itinerary ( Saigon to Siem Rep) but on this occasion it included a tour commencing in Hanoi. As we moved South through the country including a two day Halong Bay junk cruise and two internal flights everything was well planned and professionally executed.
The hotels used were of good quality and well located for further exploring. A ...
We spent 3 days in Siem Reap in a great hotel visiting the Ankor site which was an amazing experience.
We then boarded the Emerald Harmony for a 7 night cruise which only had 29 passengers out of a possible 84 due to the fact nobody from the USA or Canada could get to Siem Rep due to travel restrictions.
The Harmony was a great ship with very helpful and friendly staff and crew. The ...
Our introduction to Vietnam was interesting and educational with our tour to the Cu Chi’s tunnels and a visit to the city of Saigon followed the next day to transfer to our ship.
Everything about this cruise was excellent. The slide down window turned our stateroom into our private balcony where we could enjoy life on the Mekong River as we sailed along. The dining experience was wonderful ...
Chose this cruise as we liked the look of Emerald Cruises, and the new Harmony ship, when investigating possible intineraries for a trip to Vietnam and Cambodia.
The whole trip met and in many ways exceeded our expectations. A beautiful immaculate ship, big enough to be well equipped and spacious and not too crowded and impersonal. Plenty of space to chill out and relax. Very stable and quiet ...
