"My travel agent informed me that they were having a special sale on solo supplements, and I noticed that I could book a mini-suite (Club Balcony Suite) for only $850 pp + reduced supplement, which was around the same price as the solo cabin, so why not splurge? With the mini suite I also received all 5 of their Free At Sea discounts, which was another nice bonus, so I quickly booked the cruise...."Read More
It was a great ship. It took me a day or two to get familiar with the layout, but after that, it was easy to navigate around.
The food was excellent. The buffet offered a wide variety of options, ranging from simple finger food to Asian and East Indian cuisine. The specialty restaurants were amazing and the food was top-notch.
The staff and crew were friendly and super helpful. It's ...
This was my first Cruise and I had a hard time from the very beginning. First I was crossing the street to get into the lobby of Encore Norwegian to catch the ship. I was almost run down by the crossing guard. Second did not know i could leave my luggage at terminal. I struggled to bring them to the 10th floor of my cabin. 3rd I called for room service only to be told to call Housekeeping and when ...
As an experienced cruise traveler, I've been on countless voyages over the past two decades, cruising with family early on and then increasingly venturing out solo. Most of my cruises in the 2000s and 2010s were on major lines like Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and Carnival. In the 2020s, I've sailed with Virgin Voyages, Holland America, Princess, and Celebrity among others. This Norwegian Encore ...
This was my wife's and I fourth cruise with NCL. We have done the Getaway, Bliss, and Encore twice.
Embarkation: This took longer than before. We were at the port by 10 am and got group 6 to go on. We were on the ship by 11:45. Once there, we headed up to the American Diner for lunch and had a terrific meal.
Cabin: Our cabin was a great spot on the ship. Our steward Putu, did an amazing ...
I am a long-time cruiser with NCL, have sailed exclusively with NCL during these past 10+ years and a Latitude Platinum member. My experience has been generally positive until this recent booking on the Encore 3/3/24 to the East Caribbean.
The overall cruise was ok. The ship showed its age, nothing to write home about. The staff were not engaging and not many around. You can sit for hours ...
We decided to try a large ship for the first time cruise. We did a river cruise some years ago and enjoyed it, but NCL truly messed up. 2 days prior to departure, NCL informs us one of our trips was canceled and the were going to hold onto the money, rather than crediting it back to my credit card. Had to speak to them for an hour to get the refund.
Some weeks prior to leaving, our ...
The ship is beautiful. We thought the staff and service was great although many people onboard disagreed. Good food options, as a picky eater I was always able to find something I liked.
The pool deck is definitely way too small. Not enough room to put an adequate amount of chairs and loungers. If you want a lounger, be out by 7am. They try to make up for the lack of space by cramming regular ...
this was the first time my family stayed in the haven suites. it was everything we expected and then some. the food and drinks where fabulous, along with the all the haven staff. Lyster was our concierge and was top notch. anything we need as far a reservation, disembark, general question ect. he was right on top of. Lyster even came to check on my wife and i when we were at specialty dinning to ...
We really enjoyed our first cruise experience. Overall, the service was amazing for the amount of people on the ship. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful. With that being said, the service wasn't perfect, but we didn't let that ruin the experience. Both embarkation and disembarkation was quick and efficient. We enjoyed the many varieties of bars and restaurants. We had no ...
Last year we were on the Breakaway from New York ( round trip) this week. It wasn't offered in 2024 so we flew to Miami ( which cost a fortune for the five of us) grandparents, daughter and an 11 and 8 year old. We were in a two bedroom suite in the Haven. The bed was terrible ( soft and lumpy) and we had trouble sleeping. It is a beautiful Haven. I don't think it was sold out as the pool was ...
