Navigator not up to Regent standards

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Seven Seas Navigator

We are Gold level society members on the Regent Cruise Line and are loyal customers. But sailing on the Navigator has given us second thoughts about ever sailing on Regent again. We spent 31 days on the Regent Navigator traveling from Vancouver to Alaska with our final destination at New York. Our observations of this ship is as follows: 1. The vibration on this ship is unacceptable and is ...

Should Have Been Wonderful, but .......

We sailed from Vancouver to Alaska then to San Francisco, from there down to Central America, through the canal and then up to New York. We were so looking forward to what should have been the trip of a lifetime and whilst of the time is was very good there were just too many niggly issues, so for us a let down. This was only our 2nd cruise - the first on Seaborn - and we thought this would be ...

Oh dear what a pity; so sad now, Seven Seas Navigator.

We are just short of Platinum with Regent and until this error had all been great on the Voyager. Where shall I start .. ""The Navigator"" our trip was Vancouver Alaska to SF and then thru the Panama and onwards to NY 31 days. Several of the crew we had been with before and were great and welcoming , The suite was of the usual Regent size and standard lay out..BUT oh DEAR so tired and worn out, ...

Alaska Cruise 8/2015

My husband and I sailed to Alaska on Regent Cruise Lines' Navigator. Like many cruisers, I did a lot of homework prior to choosing a line. I encourage folks to read these reviews to help with clothing, expectations on excursions and the like. I want to start with the good. The scenery is absolutely incredible and the Navigator's small size allowed us to get to ports that some of the larger ...

Just Fair

Far to many issues to mention but generally product is ok, ship old and needs a refit. Suites are old but clean and butler service was a nice touch. Food is good but execution and service levels poor. No one goes out of the way to make you feel special. Is second rate to Seabourn who provide that extra touch. Free tours generally are a waste of time though paid are fairly good. Don't ...

Barely adequate - saved by spectacular scenery

Alaska is stunningly beautiful. The scenic wonders made the time well spent, but that is separate from our disappointing experiences on Navigator. We found the overall attitude to be very different from other luxury ships, ie Seabourn, and very disappointing. The staff was superficially pleasant but mechanical, as long as we made routine requests they were okay. But if you want something ...

Fourth and last Regent cruise; go to Alaska on another cruise line!

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Seven Seas Navigator

This was my last Regent Cruise because the company gives itself 6 stars, when the experience is really 3.5 at best. The real problems are with their mechanical maintenance and boat quality -- the things a person on a smallish boat in a big sea would like for the company they just paid more than $6k for a one week cruise to focus on when investing their profits! Mechanical Issues: This boat ...

Worst Cruise Line Ever

This cruise line thinks it is the best ships in the fleet of ALL cruises. Boy oh boy are they wrong!!!!!!! The regent's is too expensive for what you get. The room was old and run down. There was a dead roach in my room when we walked in, for the first time. They say your excursions are included, if you book a year in advance. I tried 2 months before and everything was booked. It seems more ...

Family Trip of a Lifetime

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Seven Seas Navigator

We chose the Regent because we wanted a smaller ship experience. It was a great decision to choose the all-inclusive cruise. The travel agent gave us access to all the included excursions to choose from and the date to sign up. We did that in a timely fashion online and got everything we chose. The standard room with a balcony was just great. The bathroom was very large with a shower, large ...

Just the right size ship

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Seven Seas Navigator

This was our second cruise ever, the first being on a huge Princess cruiseship. I was overwhelmed on the first cruise by the new experience and the size and the service. This cruise, however, was so much more intimate. 490 passengers and 350 crew. You never wanted for anything, and everyone was so nice and looked like they enjoyed their job on the ship. Three top notch restaurants plus the ...
