1. Deck 8 and 9 on Viking have outdoors areas with rows of sunbeds - but no shade: No sun shades. No awnings. No shadow. 2. The “Pool Deck” is indoors(!) I love Viking cruises. We have taken both river and ocean cruises and without a doubt, Viking is the best. If you are able to afford it, the owner's suite is about 1,400 square feet and the explorers' suites are about 750 square feet on ocean cruises. Plenty of room to feel at home and spread out.
