"The entainment in the theatre was not up to the standard expected but the duo singing in the Splendor Bar were very good The Cruise Director's contribution was minimal.Overall the food was very good although there was a tendency in Compass Rose for the main course being served luke warm...."Read More

Splendor February 2023: An Extremely Detailed First Timer's Review!

Review for Seven Seas Splendor to Caribbean - Western

Back to cruising! After four long years the time had come to return. First, a little about myself as it can help frame a review. I started cruising when I was 25 (and was practically dragged on board by my best friend!) and was instantly addicted. My partner and I are both in our late 50’s (in my case, unfortunately only for another few days!) and we have recently tended to cruise on/in ...

Nice 2 weeks in the Caribbean

Review for Seven Seas Splendor to Caribbean - Eastern

We like Regent and since this is a new ship with the right itinerary and the right length of sailing we booked only 3 months our when the vaccination requirement was dropped. We had a guaranteed suite and the one we were assigned was one level up, on a low deck as we asked and almost center of the ship. That worked out very well. It is a beautiful ship, although to us it felt a bit sterile ...

Great Cabin but Lost Weight

Review for Seven Seas Splendor to Caribbean - Eastern

This is my fifth cruise and the fourth for my husband. We loved Crystal, but when they went bankrupt we went searching for another small luxury cruise line. Regent has bathtubs in some of the mid level cabins, and they had trips that began and ended in the US. (my husband's back can't handle flying over the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean). So we booked two cruises. First, the positives. The cabin ...

Another enjoyable cruise on Regent

We were on the Seven Seas Splendor for 11 nights beginning January 21, 2023 from MIami. We have been on many cruises but this was only our second Regent cruise after enjoying our first on the Explorer. Embarkation was relatively quick after parking in the Terminal J parking garage across the street from terminal J. We arrived around 11:45 and after a short wait we checked in and were on the ...

We loved our first Regent cruise after trying several luxury cruise lines such as Crystal, Seabourn and Silversea. The crew were superb, somehow they knew our name wherever we went, and knew that we were staying on for a second voyage. The entertainment was very good and better than expected for a smaller ship. In particular, we really enjoyed listening to Gino in the Observation Lounge. The ...

My wife, mother (87 years old), sister and her husband, brother and his significant other, and I recently returned from a trans-Canal cruise, “Christmas on the Canal,” on the Regent Splendor. This was a bit of a “hail Mary” cruise after an utterly horrible experience on a prior cruise on the Splendor (see “Splendor? Not So Much”). What gave us some belief that service would be better was an ...

Less than expected.

Review for Seven Seas Splendor to Transatlantic

We chose this cruise as our traveling companions wanted to experience a total luxury cruise. Unfortunately, our experience was less than total luxury. Our first disappointment was with the air travel to Barcelona. United canceled one of our flights less than 30 days before departure. Instead of a reasonable layover we now had to wait close to 7 hours before beginning our red eye international ...

Review for Seven Seas Splendor to Europe - Western Mediterranean

Chose this cruise for the eastern Mediterranean itinerary and to experience the Splendor. We've been on the Explorer and wanted to compare. Like the decorations and feel of the Explorer better but this is an excellent vessel. It handled the gale-force winds and waves we encountered one night just fine. We stepped down from Penthouse to Concierge D for this 17-day trip and the room was very ...

Review for Seven Seas Splendor to Europe - British Isles & Western

Had never been to the British Isles and always wanted to go there. This ship is beautiful, has three wonderful specialty restaurants, included specialty hot chocolates and coffees at Coffee Connection, trivia, high tea, unusual custom-mixed cocktails, entertainment in the Meridian Lounge before dinner and wonderful entertainment after dinner. A local Celtic band and Irish dancers were brought on ...

Review for Seven Seas Splendor to Baltic Sea

We decided to keep our canceled Baltic Cruise during Covid. We wish we would have requested a refund. As a six time cruiser on Regent, we knew what to expect and decided to stick with this company during the unfortunate pandemic. Here are some of the pros: Great suite design Great idea of craft cocktails Laundry was prompt and decent job Pacific Rim was packed because it was ...
