We boarded ms Volendam at Singapore for a 28-day Asia cruise that included stops in Mylaysia, Myanmar( Burma) Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and disembarked in Hong Kong. We joined the Volendam at Singapore ( a lovely city by the way) and found the process easy and pretty quick. The cabin was larger than expected and included a small bath which was a bonus! We were really looking forward to this cruise. Embarkation was fairly swift via a shopping mall in Hong Kong.

Took a 28 day cruise on the Volendam from Hong Kong to Singapore. Countries visited included Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia and Singapore. The overall cruise was good. The food was good, not great. Variety was limited. My favorite meals were off the ship in the ports of call.

Embarkation was a joke. Many of the Holland-America people at the port couldn't even speak English, and kept sending us all over the place.
The cabin was fine, other than the fact that the shower wouldn't drain, and had several problems with the toilet running all night, and unusable.
