Lost all the spark!

Review for a Asia Cruise on Spectrum of the Seas

This is our 11th cruise between RCI & Carnival. We love cruising but this was overall the most disappointing cruise we've ever been on despite a beautiful ship. Way too many children running everywhere on this ship with 0 supervision. What I love about cruises normally is the ficus on kids zone keeping them away from playing & running a muck in all the common areas. We also always book our ...

My wife and I originally planned a cruise which started in Japan and culminated in Singapore back in April of 2020. COVID shut down the industry, when reopened we decided to incorporate a shorter voyage of 4 days with a visit to Singapore in December of 2022. This was our first overseas vacation after COVID the start of COVID, our 19th overall cruise and second on Royal Caribbean. We previously ...

After previous plans to celebrate our 40th Anniversary fell through, this cruise fitted the time frame. We wanted something special so booked a Junior Suite. It turned to a nightmare when our booking was canceled a day later (no one explained how) and there were no other suites available. Thankfully our travel agent and RCI helped us snatch a Golden Junior Suite when it became available later that ...

We loved this ship, although it is geared to the Asian market we really enjoyed it. The facilities are excellent and the decor is very tasteful. The buffet had a very good selection with food of a high standard. The main dining room and service were also very good. Our balcony cabin was tastefully furnished with an excellent layout for storage and space. The crew were professional, ...

Only worth it for those who have never cruised and don't know any different

Booked the cruise just 2 weeks before as I was due some leave and the fares were cheap. I have cruised on many different cruise lines from RC to Princess, Celebrity, Cunard and Crystal. This would be my 5th RC cruise and I already knew to lower my standards as I had done 2 cruises out of Singapore on Quantum of the Seas in the last 1 year and they were not great. However, this is the worst cruise ...

Awesome ship & great cruise despite the terrible pizza

First time on the spectrum sailing from Singapore, previously had sailed on Quantum a couple of times so this review will use that as a benchmark. General: - The ship is pretty new and it was obvious. The condition of the furnishing and decor was great and the cabins felt very new. - I had the surf and stream wifi package, it was good for the most part although it went down for around ...

We booked a Junior Suite. At first we wanted to book direct from Royal Caribbeans, but they do not have staff in Singapore to help. For any call, they always put customers on long wait. After calling several times, they had a couple of personnel who finally answered calls. We thought they would be able to answer questions about the ship before we decide on the deck/cabin. However, to our ...

4 night cruise to nowhere from Singapore

I planned a sightseeing trip to Singapore and wanted to include a relaxing cruise on a RCCL ship while I was there. This was a four night cruise to nowhere. As a solo traveller, I stayed in an inside cabin on deck 11. The cabin was spacious and included a king size bed and a lounge suite. The bathroom was adequate and it included a glass shower screen, not a curtain. This is a nice feature of ...

Amazing Sea-Cation at Spectrum of the Seas - Royal Caribbean Cruise Just returned from an amazing seacation cruise on Spectrum the Seas, the food, service and entertainment was outstanding and was worth.  it was so well organised from beginning to end. The RC team ensured that there is no waiting during the checkin and on boarding process which made it feel like you were getting a very ...

Staycation Cruise from Hong Kong

Review for a Asia Cruise on Spectrum of the Seas

User Avatar

The actual itinerary was a 3 night round trip from Hong Kong with no stops. We understand most of the passengers were Hong Kong residents with 90% of the passengers being Asian. Having completed all the prerequisite Covid19 requirements made the boarding quick and easy. This was probably helped by there being only 1100 passengers on board. Checked bag where at our room in less than 2 hours. ...
