Some good and some improvements.....
"), so a family-oriented ship - and its true, there seemed to be loads for the kiddies to do (but not so much the adults i found, unless it was a bar or pool).Service from our table waiters was excellent - prompt, hot delicious food and plenty of top ups of good wine...."Read More

Disaster

Review for a Middle East Cruise on MSC Virtuosa

We love, dubai, and to cruise. Last year we were with MSC ( seascape) in the caribbean, and hade a wonderful vacation. I am sorry to share my experience with you, this was the 11th cruise we have been on, mainly in the Caribbean. The main criticism concerns the cleanliness and lack of it, the cabin was not cleaned properly when we arrived, there was food waste in the boys, a half-rotten ...

Pleasantly surprised

After reading all of the awful reviews I had started dreading this cruise. However, I ended up really enjoying it. Embarkation was really smooth and quick. We had a cabin with a living room and separate bedroom and a long balcony with a hot tub on it, which we have never had before and which were really nice. The only problem with the living room was the bed settee which seemed to be really ...

UAE cruise

This was our second cruise and we were apprehensive due to some of the previous reviews we had seen. Embarkation was very easy, plenty of staff directing us to where we needed to be and allowed us entry onto the ship earlier than our stated time which was helpful. Marketplace buffet was very chaotic and perhaps time slots may ease this but choice of food was very good. The allocated ...

Too many passengers

I believe MSC Virtuosa is their largest ship and it was heaving. There was noise everywhere especially in the "marketplace". We decided to get up early so we could have breakfast in the restaurant. The last sitting was at 8.30 which in our view was early. The waiters took your order but everything arrived at the same time be it fruit/yoghurt or omelette or pancakes. The juices and coffee were ...

Worst cruise experience

I have been cruising on multiple cruise lines for more than 30 years. This was my first MSC experience and it will be my last. I am a pretty understanding person and always give the benefit of the doubt. As a matter of fact even when I haven’t had a good trip I won’t complain. MSC changed that in me. The service on this ship was absolutely horrible. The staff was rude, unhelpful, uncaring and ...

Huge disappointment

We chose this cruise because it was to celebrate a special birthday and sailing around the Emirates seemed like a special trip. The Ship was too big - 5000 passengers and 1600 crew members. It was full of very rude passengers who treated other people like dirt. Staff said they felt they were treated like 'scum' by most of the passengers. The staff were amazing, especially in the restaurant, ...

the good (YAY!)— -doha, abu dhabi, and dubai excursions booked through MSC; the guides were excellent. -beautiful ship and kept very clean. -friendly staff (for the most part). the bad (meh…)— -the food. i’m not picky at all and the MDR food was poor. the descriptions didn’t match the food served (i.e. ceviche, cream of asparagus soup, etc). the buffet food was decent. room service ...

Lovely cruise and staff

Firstly I’ve no idea why so many poor reviews and not great reviews in abundance . We’ve been on a fair number of cruises , this is first time with msc . We booked a suite class (yatch club) as we often do on cruise ships .. The service was excellent , standards across the ship were very good . The staff across the ship were friendly and helpful. I agree with some reviews that say some team were ...

More Virtual than Virtuosa

Review for a Middle East Cruise on MSC Virtuosa

The reviews on the boarding, food, restaurants are absolutely accurate. My partner has a condition related to thrombosis and 5 hours stood in a boarding que did her no favours, she is still struggling on return home. My back gave up also and another passenger gave me a back massage on the rerminal floor to ease the pain. Food attocious and it was zoo like in the marketplace. No knives, forks ...

Worst holiday ever

Review for a Middle East Cruise on MSC Virtuosa

Worst holiday ever. #mscbvirtuosa was overbooked and overcrowded for this Middle East cruise. Not enough sun beds, the bars and restaurants overcrowded. Long queues for breakfast, sometimes over an hour wait. Bizarrely the times for meals changed throughout the trip, without explanation why. Breakfast started at 6 to 8am for some days, who eats breakfast at this time on holiday! Cruise ...
