Fantastic, Relaxing time of a lifetime

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Paradise

It had been 25 years since I had been on a cruise. I was a little afraid of getting sea sick. The boat did rock quite a bit leaving port, but once out in open/deep water, it was "smooth sailing". I can not get over how accommodating the entire staff was. Almost constantly asking if we needed anything. Waiting on our every need. Constantly cleaning the ship. The cruise director, Lei Lei, was ...

We selected this cruise last minute. Went with my special needs adult son. Boarding in Tampa was a breeze, we drove and parked in the facility right across from Port. I have to say that all staff members we wonderful and really helped out making my son feel welcomed and comfortable. He is on the autistic spectrum. We went to guest services and check out the sensory back pack. There is a ...

Carnival Paradise Here is my review of the Carnival Paradise 3/26. My wife and I have cruised 36 times over 40 years starting with the Home Line in the 70s. We have seen many changes to cruising many good, many bad. The price we paid for the 5 night cruise was $900.00 which included taxes and tips for 2.. This price was unheard of in the 70s. The costs of reduced price was a definite decline ...

Great Value for the price-but otherwise it was disappointing

The food was good cafeteria food. The salads and fruits were clean, but the bananas and plums were rotten and still put out for guests. I did not go to the dinner seating because it was no different than the food on the Lido deck. Everything was clean. People I met we friendly and rooms were superlative. The stewarts were fast, friendly and very helpful. My massage was pleasant, but totally ...

This might have been the worst cruise ever..... The food was horrible... other than the Guys Burgers and the Mexican stands on the pool deck the rest was just awful - The Buffet had 3 stations in the buffet room and only one was open the entire 5 day cruise.. line 30 people long and when you got up to the choices there were like 3 choices only.. Chicken, chicken and more chicken..and potatoes . ...

Trip to Cozumel

First Time Cruiser • Age 50s

Chose Paradise basically for the locality, close to home. Was very disappointing when boarding, as a first time cruise, had no direction on what to do or go. Buffet food and service was very poor, help had very poor english, hard to understand, moved very slow, very unorganized, many mistakes and food was stale or not cooked right. Servings were very small, long lines that moved slowly, average ...

This was a great cruise for the price and cruising out of Tampa was a great experience. The ship itself was nice. Nothing fancy but nice. Excursions - since this was just a last minute getaway we didn't book anything but we did enjoy 7 mile beach in Grand Cayman and walked around the port in Cozumel (weather wasn't great!). Room/Room steward - We had an ocean view on deck 5; it was ...

We always choose Carnival....great price and great value. You get the most bang for the buck.We choose the Paradise because it fit the time frame we had without a lot of $ extras. This was the 3rd time on the Paradise and it did not disappoint. The beauty of the older ships is what the new ships are missing. The atrium, the glass elevators, the beauty of the showrooms the new ships are lacking. ...

Surprising cruise on an older ship

There were 6 friends on this cruise and we chose it for 1 reason only. The piano bar with Gustavo. We've cruised 2 other times where we had the fun of seeing Gustavo. But this was the first time on Carnival. I was leery, it's an old ship and I was afraid it hadn't aged well. I was very pleasantly surprised. Embarkation was the easiest I've ever been through. I think it's because you don't ...

I booked this cruise as it was going to be in Grand Cayman on my wife's birthday (we love Grand Cayman's 7 mile beach). Overall...the ship is older but very well maintained...it is also smaller than most of the other ships we have cruised on. Luckily...the weather was great and the gulf was not rough...so it was pretty much smooth sailing. Our room was what we expected...nothing fancy but ...
