Better Than Last Try on Paradise

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Paradise

This was my 11th overall cruise, 5th on Carnival. Went with my wife as part of a larger group of friends and family. We're locals so there was no air travel or hotel stays involved. We still LOVE cruising out of Tampa. It's close, drop off is a breeze, and self-park is easy. Security screening, check-in and boarding took about 20 minutes. We previously sailed on same cruise 3 years ago ...

Best Vacation to Date!

This is by far the best vacation that my boyfriend and I have EVER been on. The worst experience was the amount of botox it required to remove the wrinkles from laughing so much over the last week. The service is impeccable and I really believe each and every employee is happy to be apart of the Carnival family. If you're willing to participate and try new things, this is definitely the ...

Great Showers, Old Ship

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Paradise

The showers on this ship were the best we have seen on our eight cruises. The Staff was friendly and helpful and wanted to make the guests happy. Entertainers were Great! End of good stuff. Pool deck - tiny. Outside walkways - tiny. LIfeboat procedures - diaster in the making - no real organization. Decks are so narrow that you need to muster in a lounge and then follow the leader to a lifeboat. ...

Better Than Expected

I had ruled out Carnival a long time ago because of too many kids and pushy service, and enjoyed RCL on many cruises, I even have another RCL cruise coming up in November that I have had reserved last year. I took Carnival Paradise from Tampa to Grand Cayman and Cozumel. I started my cruise a bit of a snob, thinking to myself the food was better, the ships are larger, the rooms...etc. Well after ...

We have been cruising since 1972. We drove to the Port of Tampa. Our Cabin M8 on Carnival Paradise September 14, 2015. We enjoy the Musicals, Comedy, Karaoke, Magician. The staff and service were very friendly and quick to respond to request. No shore excursion in Grand Cayman cause we have been on everyone of them. Cozumel we went to La Casa La Playa and it was wonderful. A private home with ...

First Cruise, Great Experience

It was my mine and my wife's birthdays and we decided, along with our adult daughter, to celebrate by taking our first cruise onboard the Carnival Paradise to Cozumel. From the moment we boarded in Tampa, until we were back in Tampa, we had nothing but a fantastic time. Our cabin was comfortable and the service received by the attendant was excellent. We did the early dining so we could enjoy ...

We sailed out of Tampa on Thursday had a day at sea, Cozumel, and a day at sea. This, to us, is a perfect short getaway. Cozumel is, in our view, the best of the western Caribbean ports. They are well equipped, lots to do and very welcoming. The Paradise is an older ship, the last of the Fantasy class for Carnival, not too many balconies but well laid out. We had been on this ship a few years ...

Lame not FUN

Eight of us went on this cruise for fun and entertainment. We will not go again on the Paradise. It is an older ship but that did not cause any problems. It was the lack of FUN. Entertainment was non-existent on night 3 and 4. No bands, no piano, no shows and no comedian. The highlight was the newlywed game on day 3 and day 4 had a lame game of liar's. There were very few activities ...

Bored on the Paradise

We were surprised to find a total lack of entertainment. Many lounge areas were empty. Lots of bored passengers walking around. The dancers did only two shows. The first one was a country western theme. The dancers were excellant. Did not care for country music. The cruise director did an amazing job playing the fiddle.! Sounded just liked Charlie Daniels doing "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" ...

Boring

If you like to drink non stop, this is the cruise for you, but I don't drink. There were many good things about the ship and crew. The ship and rooms were older, but kept very clean. The food was much better than average and our waiter went way beyond expected service. Now for the bad part. I have been on about 15 cruises and this ship had by far the worst entertainment or maybe a better ...
