Although we have visited many places in the British Isles, this cruise offered a mix of new places (Orkney, Shetlands and highlands) with more familiar places (London, Edinburgh, Dublin and Belfast). We took this cruise because we felt this cruise went to a lot of different places we wanted to see. The tours were all good, except that my husband lost 1 of his hearing aids 3rd day out. Had never toured the British Isles. Wish we had more time offshore as our time was limited. Viking does a marvelous job in crowd management. We especially like that Viking kept track of our comings and goings. The crew is amiable. They are not condescending, yet treated us with respect. We never felt they invaded our privacy. We wanted a small ship experience and loved it. We've been going for smaller and smaller ships (largest we've been on was about 4,000 passengers and this one was around 900).
