This was our first cruise, and it set the bar over the top! It's rare to seriously not have any complaints for 10 days of travel! The Viking Orion and its staff, exceeded our expectations! The ship itself was beautifully maintained, with staff constantly working to keep it sparkling. The staff was friendly, professional, attentive and always helpful! We chose this particular cruise, because ...

Everything about traveling on Viking makes me feel like a queen. The accommodations are thoughtful with everything we might need already in the room like a luxurious robe and an umbrella and I really liked the extra blanket for using when sitting on the couch. The food of course is abundant and delicious. We ate in every restaurant and bar are. When we went for the tea we were amazed at the ...

This was our fourth Inside Passage cruise in the past 20 years and our first cruise with Viking. We loved the ship and service. The Viking Orion is well designed with plenty of space. You never feel crowded. We chose this cruise for the itinerary and for the ship. Our favorite ports were Seward where the cruise started, Sitka, Icy Straight Point and Juneau. These ports best reflect Alaska. ...

Based on experience with Viking on a 2019 Rhine river cruise we originally booked a Mediterranean cruise for 2020 which was canceled. To celebrate our 50th Anniversary we decided to do the Alaska cruise with a pre-cruise excursion to Denali. The size of the Viking ships was a significant factor in our decision in addition to our incredible river cruise experience. The interior, the amenities, ...

This was an amazing cruise. The luxury and overall service was unparalleled to anything I have ever experienced. The staff and crew were phenomenal and exceeded expectations throughout the voyage. The suite was spacious and had everything we could need. The included laundry service made packing a breeze for the 11 day journey. The restaurants offered an excellent selection of menu items and the ...

We chose this trip to enjoy the beauty of AK, from the water. The facilities, per usual, were very very nice. Staff was professional and courteous. The onboard scholars, Drs. Smith and Eyers were spectacular, Very, very knowledgeable and engaging. There was a gentleman, M. Hick, who spoke of AK Native heritage, etc. He was very disappointing in that he read from the slides and ...

We had done an inside passage cruise a number of years ago on a different cruise line and wanted to experience it the way Viking would do it. We were not disappointed with the cruise (except that it rained a bit more than we would have liked)! The cabin was comfortable, with a very nice balcony. The food was plentiful, well prepared, and suitable for a variety of tastes. As always, the service ...

This cruise gave us a fantastic overview of the countries on the Baltic Sea. We visited Sweden, Poland, Germany, Denmark, and Norway. The cruise was originally scheduled to stop in Finland, Russia, and Estonia but the political situation made that unsafe. We were disappointed, but Viking arranged substitute ports well before we sailed and we found those ports interesting. We extended with Viking ...

Alaska Did Not Disappoint

Always on our wish list to see Alaska, and we were drawn to the small ships Viking offered. The Orion did not disappoint. Beautiful ship, nice and new. Big enough to have plenty to do and places to go but small enough to enjoy without getting lost or having too many people on board. Dining was very good, whether it was One World Cafe or the main dining room. Manfredi's was tasty, could have ...

The ship and cabin were just as beautiful as marketed. Everything was clean and wonderfully maintained. The entertainment was very good. The facilities such as the spa and ice grotto are not to be missed. The housekeeping staff couldn’t have been more wonderful and attentive. In fact, all the staff were very friendly and professional. But…the staff, especially in the main buffet, ...
