Very interesting islands, excellent food, nice beaches, even the snorkeling was better than expected. The staff were very friendly and we feel like at home. The group was formed by several couples from all over Europe, and this helped very much when talking to each other during the evenings. We would like to plan a few cruises more during coming years and have decided that this kind of boats is much better then the other huge boats that offer similar kind of cruises. All the staff invested time in keeping all of us happy and in the very moment you ask any question or had any requests. We were just 26 people on board out of the 44 places available and this fact also helped very much. Our cabin was the perfect size. It is worth upgrading the cabin to an A class as you are 7 nights on it Read Less

The Seychelles has always been a bucket list destination for me and it did not disappoint! By traveling with Variety on a yacht cruise you get to see so many destinations that you would not see if you stayed at a hotel on one island or traveled on a larger ship. Not only did we get to see so many destination we also had an incredible experience on board the ship. Our cabin was very comfortable was incredible views from our portholes. Because it is a small ship with a capacity of about 44 people the crew is able to get to know you and your individual needs. We were on a first name basis with everyone from the interior crew to the captain and they were so friendly and welcoming! There are multiple turn down services a day, the bartender knew our drink preferences and the hotel manager George was the best host! Truly the trip of lifetime and I miss the crew already! I cannot wait for my next Variety Cruises experience! Read Less

What a pleasant trip.Staff were so friendly they made you feel at home. The Food was good to excellent and the cruise was a wonderful opportunity to meet lovely people and new friends from all round the world. It was our first time in Seychelles and the 7 night cruise on this small ship was an ideal way to see most of the main islands. The cabin (category A) was pleasant and the shower was good but we do not understand why we paid more for a category A cabin than a B cabin as there is no difference between the two other than an A being more pricey. The waters were choppy and large swells made the ship rock and roll which can make one feel sea sick(my wife) but others found it enjoyable! Entertainment was fine and the activities visiting the islands were enjoyable but the snorkeling disappointing. Disappointed that we spent 2 nights in the harbor especially the one at Praslin and suggest the management reconsider this as an overnight stay. All in all an enjoyable first time experience on the this small cruise. Read Less

I've always wanted to visit the Seychelles, but as I don't fall into the typical group visiting it (couples/honeymoon ) I thought that the best way is to visit on board a small cruise. I was originally planning on booking cabin on a luxury catamaran sailing cruise, but found an offer about Variety Cruises. I am so glad I booked that instead! I had amazing time from start to finish. The yacht is fairly small, and we were not more that 25-30 people. That was great as everyone gets to know the other people and the whole experience is much more personalised. I was worried that it will be mainly senior crowd and we will feel out of place (we are in our mid-late thirties), but the group was a really nice mix of people and no one was a nuisance to the other passengers (I guess we were lucky). I also liked the fact that there is no dress code and the whole atmosphere is super relaxed. The boat is old-ish, so don't expect anything glamorous. The food was amazing! I seriously didn't expect so delicious food, and such rich variety in the Seychelles (read a lot of travel forums prior to my trip, and the Seychelles is not famous with culinary experiences). There is a bar on board and there was a decent choice of drinks. I found the prices to be absolutely normal considering the destination and the quality of the drinks. I really liked the itinerary, as you get to see so much in a really short period of time. You'll never manage to do that if you are not cruising. There were two optional excursion, which we found a bit dull and didn't book. Most of our fellow travellers who went confirmed that we've made the right choice. The crew is a mix of nationalities, and everyone was super friendly and accommodating, Everyone is really professional and is genuinely interested in providing you with the best possible service. The captain was constantly interacting with the passengers and was more than happy to answer any questions. I really can't think of better way to see this amazing destination! Already looking to book a Variety Cruise in another part of the World. Read Less

We have travelled with Variety before, on the Panorama in Croatia. We chose this trip as a way to see the Seychelles islands as well as the wildlife on land and sea. Our best friends came along on our recommendation despite never having been on a sea cruise and being a little worried about seasickness. They really enjoyed it, no seasickness or safety issues. We all enjoyed the cameraderie of the other passengers and the crew, we had a blast! What a fantastic way to see this beautiful group of granite islands. Being at sea means it is a bit cooler as it was very hot and humid. We got to see lots of islands, beaches, giant tortoises, dolphins, fairy terns, manta rays, lemon sharks etc. Snorkelling was great as the sea was teeming with marine life. James Bond style beach landings were amazing. Will never forget getting up close with giant tortoises. The cruise followed the same ethos as the other Variety cruise we were on which really appealed to us. A great balance of good food, safe adventure and relaxed luxury. Everyone on board made a great effort to make it a fun and enjoyable adventure- both passengers and crew. The boat was clean and tidy though it would benefit from an update. Our cabin was comfortable with a good sized bathroom and full sized shower cubicle. Service was very personal and better than I have had on larger cruises. I have to say again how exceptional the crew are and we will travel with Variety again in future. Read Less

I was looking for something special for my 60th birthday and the cruise around the Seychelles was perfect, especially as the dates were a perfect match to the big occasion. Our cabin was compact but spotless and comfortable! The crew were all amazing. Nothing was too much trouble! We were always greeted with a smile and our names, a small touch but shows the attention to detail! Food was fantastic and I am a fussy pescatarian! Each day brought something new and interesting. Lots of wildlife, particularly birds, fish and giant tortoises! Beautiful beaches with some exhilarating landings! I would certainly recommend it as a fabulous way to see these beautiful islands. The small boat, we had only 21 passengers, meant that everyone made friends really quickly and gave the whole experience a really friendly atmosphere! We would definitely consider a Variety cruise again on the strength of our experience! Read Less

After one day, the staff knew our names and always they were very helpfully. Our cabin was big enough and we slept very well in the bed. The bathroom was small, but we had all things we have needed. The diningroom was very comfortable and the meals were delicious! The visits at all the islands were really great! We could see the different natures of the islands and saw many beautiful birds. Also a lot of big giant turtles. We had enough time for snorkeling and the transfers with the tenderboat were very funny. We loved the evenings with dance and life music and all this good cocktails from the bar! We say thank you for a great week on Pegasus❣️ Read Less

The MV "Pegasus" is a beautiful small ship with just 21 cabins. So the atmosphere on board has been very cosy and individual. The cabins are spacious, modern and bride. But it was the team and service on board that made this cruise really extraordinary. Some details: Just after 1-2 days the service stuff called everyone by name and knew all preferences concerning food and beverages. The hospitality on board simply has been great - service at 5 star level. Moreover the routing and all excursions had been chosen carefully and the organization was perfect. We even didn't have to carry our bags and towels. Every evening our excellent and motivated guide Vivek hold a detailed briefing of next day and created an atmosphere of pleasant anticipation. After all I can only recomend to discover Seychelles by cruise. With Variety you will not just see the touristic highlights such as Vallée de Mai (Coco de Mer) on Praslin or La Digue and the most beautiful beaches, but also the hidden hide-aways such as Curieuse, Felicite or beautiful remote Aride. Variety and its MV Pegasus was a perfect choice! Read Less

Had always wanted to visit the Seychelles but thought would be cost prohibitive with over the top accommodation prices but cruising with Variety Cruises / Peregrine made it both more than affordable with the extra bonus of seeing multiple islands. So glad we did it this way and with Variety on a Small Ship cruise. Day to day exploring was fantastic with varied options and allowances to do own exploring. Food was first rate with some nights buffet and others three course a la carte. Wildlife is a big part of the experience and having been to the Galapagos was great to see and compare the endemic tortoise. Birdlife, especially on Cousin Island is the real highlight. Beaches - cannot even begin to describe, I have sailed in the Caribbean and the Med...the beaches here take it to another level of beauty. Anse Lazio was our favourite. Variety run a great programme and cant recommend them enough. Read Less

I absolutely loved this cruise! We cruised with Variety Cruises on the Pegasus around the islands of Seychelles. We embarked in Mahe, the main island of Seychelles. We then sailed to Curiese, one of my favourite islands because we got to see so many land tortoises! We snorkelled at Ans Lazio beach in Praslin, which was divine! We also went to Cousin island and Aride which are both great for nature lovers. We went to Praslin as well; and also went to La Digue and Moyenne Island. Our cabin was so lovely and our beds, comfortable! My fiance' and I were so incredibly blown away by the impeccable service and food. Never have I eaten such wonderful cuisine. The service was also unparalleled. By the first night the staff knew mine and my fiance's names and were greeting us with warm welcomes. The shore excursions were also excellent; a tad bit of exploring and comfortable walking. I would go again in a heartbeat! Read Less
