Not what it used to be

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Voyager of the Seas

This was our 4th cruise on the Voyager over the past 2 years. Unlike the previous cruises, we didn’t have the same fantastic experience we had before but we still had a good time. Mainly we found both the food and service (stateroom steward and MDR waiter) standards had fallen. This was the 1st cruise for us that Royal Caribbean included tips in the total cruise price. We couldn’t help but ...

Embarkation and Disembarkation ran very smoothly, The ship is tied looking but is an excellent ship with plenty to do. Cabin was clean and very roomie, the entertainment in your cabin was great but if you wanted a quite period to watch TV there was no guide for you to see what was on you seemed to always tune into a movie half way through .The Dinning was exceptional and the waiters were ...

First off, we did a back to back.... this being the 2nd cruise. The 1st cruise departed on the 12th of Feb, and went to mostly the same destinations. The cruise, for us, is more about the journey than the destinations. Not all on board facilities were used. Also, we are Diamond C&A members, so some of this will reflect that. 1: Sydney. Lived here for to long (now Central NSW), so there was ...

Loved our cruise. We stayed in a junior suite and was looked after very well by Wayon We also thought the attention we received in the Sapphire Anytime dining was well beyond what we expected. Our waiters Alejandro and Xingrong were amazing. We enjoyed all the ports we went to and I must say we were very lucky to have some very good weather and calm seas on our cruise. We enjoyed most of the ...

Have cruised before on this ship and loved it. Love the openness of the ship, deck layouts and great staff. There is always something to do onboard and you are kept well informed of activities, cruising position, weather and if there are any changes. There does need to be another option for food between 4-6pm other than Cafe Promenade. This is a time when most get back from tours on port ...

Overall the cruise was great . The ship is well designed and the staff are wonderful . As an Elite member of Princess , maybe it's me , but I got the feeling that Royal were catering for a younger demographic than myself . Belly flop completions and sexy man comps are a bit over the top for me . In saying that , the food was good ( except the coffee ) the layout of the windjammer is great and ...

I've cruised several times before on other ships, (Sea Princess) My Children booked this cruise for my Birthday, It was such a disappointing experience this time round, Lack of service, Unclean , Major letdown on entertainment, and the food wasn't the quality i was expecting for this cruise line. ( the coffee ) was horrible Not drinkable coffee. Embarking and leaving the ship ...

I chose RC because my husband was taking me to celebrate my 60th birthday. We thought as it was supposed to be a higher ranked cruise line that there would be a bit of luxury and not a lot of kids considering the cruise arrived back in Sydney on 31st January after the return to school. Arghhhhhhhh was I ever wrong., It was full of kids, racing around the ship, taking up seating in the bars while ...

This was our 7th cruise & the 3rd with Royal Caribbean. This is quite an in depth review but worth reading if you are a first time cruiser or want the ins and outs of cruising. We did the 12 day south pacific cruise from Sydney on Voyager of the seas from 19th of Jan to 31st of Jan 2017. We are a quite young early 50's couple from Sydney (Castle Hill) and had our adult kids & extended family with ...

A fun cruise

This was our first RCI cruise, and we would do one again with them, but not in school holidays. On a ship carrying 3,500 passengers, approximately 1,000 were under 18, and they were everywhere. Even into the evening, you would find young children all over the ship. Embarkation was surprisingly quick, considering they had two major computer meltdowns (not the fault of RCI). They generally ...
