I chose this cruise to spend time and reconnect with one of my high school friends. It has been more than 3 decades since we graduated. We had a balcony room which was adequate. The dining room food was excellent the one night that we went. We went on a shore excursion which was ok. We made the best of our cruise and had a great time with each other however, I remember a time when the staff was all smiles and over the top about helping you. I remember a time when you called maintenance and they actually came. I remember a time when there was food almost around the clock. I remember a time when the desserts were amazing and there was actually a dedicated dessert night. I took a break from Carnival to try out some other cruise lines which were great and decided to come back and give carnival another try. Unfortunately, Carnival paled in comparison. I have a cruise booked for my daughter's 16th birthday but am considering canceling and rebooking with another line. One of the great things that Carnival did was promote "Cookie" the cruise director and he was amazing. Read Less

I chose this cruise to relax. The Majesty was tired and worn and not in the best shape overall .Upholstery and carpet in the common areas was dirty and worn. The one pool was small and it had to be closed at least twice due to "accidents". The bars were a bit noisy and other than our cabin, there was no place in the evening to go that was quiet. The Schooner Bar could use more seating as we never were able to get a table. For my taste the food was for the most part overly salted . The crew was great, attentive and upbeat. They were professional, polite and always remembered our names. The entertainment staff was a hoot especially our trivia hostess. The cabin was tiny(ocean view)- smaller than other cruises we have been on and in need of serious upgrading. Our only excursion was cancelled due to weather and it rained all day in Coco Cay . Not the best experience at all. Not sure if I would do Royal Caribbean again. Read Less

Recommended by a friend, need a new friend. I was not impressed with Royal Caribbean and its ship. If this is their offering I will gladly go back to Carnival Cruises. I did not think that at the price of cruises that we paid they should make sure that they are giving some value to their customers. The weather was bad but that they can not control but they could make the on board activities more entertaining and maybe tell the guest that they are having an activities. I had fun at the activities that they did offer but up charges for everything? Why is it always an upcharge. I had fun walking around the ship and the crew was very cheerful and pleasant. If it were not for the crew this cruise would have sucked! The entertainment events were too few and far between. I would hope they improve their ships or they will not see me again. Read Less

We needed a few days to get to the next level in Crown & Anchor. I picked this ship because it was only 4 days and inexpensive. I had low expectations because it's an older ship. We were pleasantly surprised. The food and service was better than the Allure which we were just on last month. Actually the food is the windjammer was better than the food I have had in the windjammer on Rccl other ships in years. Dining room food was very good. Dining room service was excellent. Entertainment was very good and also lots of opportunity for dancing. Embarkation and disembarkation was slow. If you have problems walking, you might not want to pick a cabin on deck 6. Some of the elevators do not go to 6 so you may have to walk up or down steps a flight to get to your cabin. The ship is going into dry dock next month for refurbishing. Read Less

Daughter running in WDW Marathon so we decided to take cruise also so she could run in the Castaway Key 10K Challenge. First time on Disney and generally impressed. Embarkation and disembarkation was very smooth. Quality of food and service superb. Entertainment very enjoyable. Watching the children interact with the characters brought a smile to our faces. Cleanliness of our stateroom and the public areas outstanding. Castaway Cay very enjoyable even on a cloudy day that turned to rain. Crew very good at adapting to rainy weather for two days of cruise. However, my daughter's spa massage experience led her to tears when she returned to cabin. Twice her upper body was improperly exposed. Spa run by same people that provide spa for RCL where my daughter has had numerous massages and never had this occur. Spa manager apologized and refunded fee after we complained. But the evening after the massage was NOT "the happiest time on earth." Read Less

Not really great at writing long essays for reviews so I will keep it short and simple. I wanted a easy cruise without being overwhelmed by the port of call and excursions. So it's my 10th wedding anniversary I wanted a super awesome looking ship with spacious room. Personally I was looking for activities on the ship but what I discovered was A+ Entertainment & Activities . We did get give low rating for dining due to lack of vegetarian option and temp of the food. More than few times we noticed the food in the buffet was not hot or felt like it's just been sitting in side until there was room at the buffet table. But if you love MEAT and this is your cruise heaven buffet ship. Finally perfect port of call so not to be overwhelmed with great staff that can go above and beyond to make this a perfect cruise. We have taken about 20+ cruises with another cruise line.... In January 2017, we took the Royal. Caribbean Oasis of the Seas for the first time and fell in love with it !!! We then brought family members in July 2017 and then came back in July 2018.....Each time was always great...with great service and smiling faces !!! Between the ship being awesome and the service we received awesome....we think we found us a new Cruise lines !!! The shows they have are awesome, especially the aqua show !! The different levels on the ship are breathtaking especially Central Park, where they have live trees and bushes !! The buffet service in the Windjammer is the best !!! NO waiting in an extremely long line.....different stations with some of the best food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.. little to no waiting....I do wish tho that they had soft serve ice cream in there...probably my only real complaint... The Royal Promenade is a great deck with all the shopping, and eateries....also a great place just to sit and people watch if you like doing stuff like that !!! Read Less

I had heard a lot about the largest cruise ship and wanted to try it now that it is sailing out of Port Canaveral. I was disappointed! I will say that the logistics for boarding were quite good. We left our house at 11 AM and were onboard the ship at 12:45. I am not a great chef, but I sure could outperform the pastry chef. All the deserts in the Windjammer were subpar with the exception of jello. Given time I believe they can mess that up too. Given a couple weeks to experiment, I would be able to produce better tasting items all across the desert stand. Of particular disgust were the donuts. How hard is it to make a tasty donut? Mobile carts fry the dough and come up with tasty products, not so the Oasis chef. There is a Johnny Rockets on board so it is possible to get a tasty hamburger, just not in the Windjammer. The pancakes were so hard they could be used as frisbees. I would say the same for the hardness of the French Toast except ithe were not round. Perhaps the thing that bothered me the most was when I went to take a sauna. On all other cruises I have taken, they have been free. The Oasis is a colossal rip-off in that they obligate you to purchase a week sauna pass for $119. On the positive side, the shows were very good and we saw 6 different shows. The entrees in the Silk Dining Room were passable, but the deserts not so much. The apple pie is horrible with no taste. The chocolate cake seemed like it last saw an oven in Orlando. The only fresh desert seemed to be the creme brulee. I realize that we are no longer in the golden age of cruising like in the 80s when the fine foods were served in the main dining room and there was a midnight buffet with carved ice figures, but to close the Windjammer at 8:45 does not leave many options for a late night snack. Much was acclaimed about Central Park, but what it is a just about all specialty restaurants on both sides. The cabins also left something to be desired. Normally there is a curtain for privacy when you have more than two people to a cabin, not so on the Oasis. The tissues and toiletries are all from China, not what I would expet from the largest cruise liner. We were on deck 11 starboard aft in Cabin 722 and I will say that our cabin steward Dean was the best we have ever had. I bring a post it pad so I can leave notes for the steward when something runs out or needs to be changed. The only times I needed to request something from Dean was when the battery on our room safe expired and when I asked for a plastic bag to put ice in for an injury on the Flowrider. It seemed like at least half the activities were classes that eventually tried to sell you something. There was also a problem with the starboard aft elevators where we would go to the port elevators rather than wait longer. The flowrider was fun. I mastered the boogie board, but not the stand up board. The zip line was way too short. The rock climbing walls were good. Read Less

we had a great time on our latest cruise vacation. even though the weather was not great the whole cruise, the staff were very attentive and our dining staff were the best we have experienced in many years. the shows were very professional, Kat's was not my favorite but the performance was as you would expect in a west end or broadway show, excellent. royal Caribbean always provides a great cruise experience and we intend to take many more cruises with them. our cabin staff did an excellent job keeping the stateroom clean and tidy. the balcony over the Central Park offered a great view and comfortable experience. even though there were over 6,000 guest on board we did not feel overcrowded. the bars were always comfortable and the staff were always attentive and pleasant. I enjoyed the extra food stations with the pizza, hot dogs and ice cream, great for small snacks during the day or late after the nightclubs. Read Less
