We went on the Disney Fantasy for a family cruise for 7 nights in June 2015. Disney sure knows how to do it right. Every aspect of this cruise was perfect! The ship is beautiful and amazingly clean, they buff and polish everything, all the time, there was never one time that we saw as much as a stray cup or a wet towel, every inch of this ship was spotless. The art work and finishes on all ...
When we got to our room we found that one of the wave phones was broken. Called maintenance, they could not care less. As opposed to having someone fix the issue, I was asked to bring it to guest services and have it checked out. The sit down dinner seating stops at 8:30 pm sharp even though the shows go on until 11 pm. If you are watching a show and don't make it to the restaurant by 8:30 pm, ...
This was our second voyage on the Dream in the last 6 months - both experiences have been excellent! We went on the 3-day cruise to Nassau and Castaway Cay.
Embarkation was very smooth and being a Castaway Cay club member, we were able to board very fast.
The activities on board were all entertaining from the highly detailed evening shows to the many trivia contests that we played - we ...
We chose this cruise as our grand kids live on the West Coast and it was the only one sailing in school holidays. We had been to Alaska before so knew there would be enough "adult" interest whilst the kids enjoyed the clubs. The ship itself was a pleasant surprise, Art Deco style and many luxury features, it has been very well maintained considering it is 16 years old. (Much better than QM2 which ...
This cruise was quite expensive. Given that, I expected much more. We are not first time cruisers -- have been on NCL, Oceania and Princess -- probably cruised more than 10 times. Given the price of this cruise, I expected much more. Here are my issues:
1) Food was just plain awful Nothing tasted good -- it was barely okay. One day I had the hamburger and it was dry shoe leather. It was ...
This cruise is great for all the children that loves everything about Disney, however for the price, I rather be in a Oceanic cruise. The positives are that the entertainment is better than most cruises. You get to see all the Disney movies, including first run features. There are plenty of things to entertain the kids.
The negatives are that there are no variety in the foods, For kids - mac ...
Paid more than normal for this Disney Cruise and while it was Very Good I expected more for a 5 star cruise.
Pros:
-Disney Cruise Iphone App: Was EXCELLENT! This iphone app kept us in touch via in boat texting with the onboard wifi and we could check on menu's for all meals at all locations as well as entertainment and events around the ship.
-Boat was Designed well with alot of neat ...

This was our first time cruising so we did not know what to expect! Overall a great cruise! I never felt any sea sickness or motion. We were on deck 6 and it was a perfect floor and in the middle. Getting on the ship was an easy process and went smoother than I expected. Ride the Aquaduct the first day cz the other days it gets packed unless u go right before dinner reservations! We enjoyed the ...
The Disney Fantasy is a beautiful ship, and immaculately maintained. My wife and I took our two granddaughters on a 7 day cruise, and enjoyed it very much. The balcony cabin we had was well laid out and comfortable, and the bed--just a dream to sleep in! The food on the ship was exceptional, with dinner time being a treat every day. The ship offered free ice cream and soda at most hours of the ...
