We chose this cruise because it ended in Sydney where we spent a week with relatives. In 2017 we did a similar cruise on the same ship which started in Sydney and ended in Hong Kong. We stayed in in a sheltered balcony state room the state room was mid ships and we had a very stable cruise. The room was just below deck seven and sometimes we heard the noise of recliners moving. Cabin review is below.
Been on more than 10 cruises e.g. Celebrity, Princess, NCL, Costa, etc.
Bottom line it is old and shows it. The ship itself if not impressive. Worse yet was staff. It seems like they was no synergy and each person acted on their own with little regard to customer service.

Because of lack of maintenance during Cuvard, the ship's hull had not been de-fouled to the satisfaction of the New Zealand authorities and thus not being able to enter a number of ports including Milford Sound, the number one cruise attraction for New Zealand. Boarding was seamless and the ship was in excellent condition for wear and tear and cleanliness
Our cabin was immaculate, however we experienced poor sleep due to hard beds and pillows and the shower was the smallest I have ever experienced on a cruise ship. The games deck was the best I have seen for senior passengers but not so for young passengers.

To say that we were disappointed with this cruise is an understatement.
We are loyal Cunard cruisers, having completed 14 other cruises on Cunard ships, including QE2, Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth.
