We had a great time!!

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Costa Diadema

I sometimes wonder whether some people's expectations are just too high. My daughter and I have just got off the Costa Diadema and can honestly say we had a great week. Yes, you have to pay for water at dinner, yes, the service charge is mandatory and yes, there are Italians on board - but we all knew this (or should have known this) before booking. The ship is shiny and new, the cabins are ...

Review for a Middle East Cruise on Costa Serena

Boarding was an apocalyptic chaos, despite the fact there was to be priority embarkation. Took us an hour to get to the gangway only to be told that we had to back to check-in because they had forgotten to give us health declaration forms. An hour later we were on board. Somebody else's bag turned up at our door with our bag tag 24 hours after boarding. We returned it and liberated our own bag ...

We flew to Milan and spent a night there before joining a coach to Savona to board the Costa Serena. Quaotic lack of organisations on at Milan airport with a total lack of proper organisation and little better when boarding. However we are both wheelchair boarding passengers and this was arranged reasonably well. Cabins were more than adequate, clean and comfortable with excellent steward ...

Beautiful ship, nice inside cabin in great location. Live in Florida so drove down. The ports of call were some we hadn't been before. Very little information is provided to passengers. When you dock you have to go outside cabin to find out when you get off. Two ports were tender ports and it was a zoo getting off. Very poor system was used. By the way, they did tell you about tendering until the ...

WORST DEC. 2014 COSTA CRUISE IN 25 COSTA SAILINGS

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Costa Mediterranea

Costa is having problems that worsen each year. Many blame Carnival since Costa became part of the Carnival Corp.; others insist Costa has tightened purse strings because of the tragic loss of Costa Concordia. We have cruised on 25 Costa sailings, mainly for their dance venues & Italian themed nights (that no longer exist as they once were). We have cruised most other major lines so do have a ...

As a 70 year old grandfather, I flew Emirates alone from Birmingham on the overnight flight to Dubai. Emirates have great food and a generous baggage allowance and I was well within the 30kg limit, even including all of the Christmas presents which I was taking. Flying overnight and the 4 hour time difference meant I wouldn't require a hotel. The flight route, which you can reassuringly monitor on ...

We have cruised many times, but only twice on Costa. ( 14 times on RCCL, 4 on Celebrity, 2 on Carnival, 3 on Princess, etc) We understand that once it was bought by Carnival, the quality of service would go down to Carnival’s level. Well… It went way down from Carnival’s level Costa Diadema Nov 11 to 18 - 2014 from Palma de Maiorca,The food, was horrible, the Filipino and Indonesian service was ...

Costa Magica Interior Cabin 1021 Enjoyable

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Costa Magica

I enjoyed this cruise and the ship a lot! First things first, you have to remember that it is an Italian Cruise line so everything is general chaos. Boarding, not having your prepaid beverage and excursion packages set right is to be expected (especially if you booked in the US). I arrived in the Venice train station, Expedia never forwarded the luggage tags so it was a chore getting my luggage to ...
