Review for a Middle East Cruise on Costa Serena

We have just returned from the worst imaginable cruise possible. We expected to go on a cruise of Dubai and the Jewels of the Emirates. On arrival at the Costa reception desk in Dubai we were handed a letter stating that minor works were in progress on the ship with minimal disruption. What a farce. Much of the atriums on the 4th and 5th deck levels were cordoned off and also a major area at the ...

Lovely ship with the Deck 5 outside walkway all round the ship an excellent feature. Well designed cabins. Entertainment to suit all tastes. Younger ones can enjoy loud music up in Deck 10 and the Disco, while older ones can enjoy the quieter bars, music, dancing available on Deck 4 and 5. Theatre shows were excellent but you have to get in 30 minutes before to get a decent seat. Not a problem as ...

I really don't know where to start! A disaster from day 1. This was my 13th cruise and without any shadow of a doubt the worst ship and company I've ever sailed with. There were however 2 good points......1. The few nice passengers we met 2. Getting off the ship Never have I encountered such, rude, ignorant, miserable, unhelpful crew. EVERYTHING was a chore! If you want a drink fetch it ...

Had wonderful cruise from Buenos Aires to Savona, Italy.we are very seasoned cruisers and after reading some reviews a little worried no need to be, lovely clean ship inside and out! Food ranged from good to excellent, starters could have been main course .in 3 weeks the evening menu was never repeated, the service was probably some of the best and friendliest we have had in 16 cruises and the ...

Not even a glass of water available after 6:30 p.m. in the whole ship

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Costa Mediterranea

I'm starting right with an issue that, in my belief, overwhelms any other comment possible on this cruise. Every cruise day, after 6:30 p.m., simply there is no food or drink whatsoever available in the whole ship, except for the main Restaurant. This means that, if you're on first seating (6:30 p.m.) after the show (9:15 pm or later), for instance, not only you don't have any station at all ...

Now where do I start.  Having done dozens of cruises with the likes of Princess,  P&O, NCL, Celebrity and Royal Caribbean I have learnt that apart from small differences in presentation,  the typical fair of different ships and lines is pretty much the same.  Happy friendly crew,  excellent food from the buffet from breakfast to last thing at night,  pool side burger bars,  elegant dining rooms ...

Cleanliness The ship was constantly being cleaned, the decks were disinfected every morning and one evening when I nipped back to the cabin the beds had been moved and the attendant was cleaning underneath them. I have never seen that on RCCL, HAL, Princess or Celebrity. We had fresh towels automatically daily and new linen every 2 days. Staff Were all friendly and attentive and one occasion, ...

Having read some of the previous comments we went on this cruise expecting the worst, however things turned out much much better than expected & our advice to anybody due to travel is go with an open mind & enjoy yourselves, also if you enjoy the odd tipple make sure you sign up for the all inclusive drinks package as its got to be one of the best at 25.5 euros p/p p/day of any cruise line. Food ...

This First Time Cruiser enjoyed herself!

Everyone who complained about the cruise ( mostly the food ) said I couldn't really be objective about this ship as I was a newbie to cruising, therefore I had nothing to compare it to. While that might be valid I truly felt that it would be hard to find a more beautiful ship to cruise on. Nay sayers be darned! As mentioned it was our first cruise. Found a great lot to leave our car ( Safe ...
