Starting point was la Romana, Catalina Island, St-Kitts, Antigua, La Martinique, La Guadeloupe et finally St-Marteens. Lets start with the good point for this cruise: the personnel is very friendly, smiling, and always ready to help. I was very happy with the service of M. Herlin for tidying up our cabin. I need also to mention M. Haroy Venzon, waiter in the dining room and his assistant M. Vu ...
Embarkation and disembarkation - Fast and efficient.
Gym - Antiquated equipment. Much of it should be replaced.
Entertainment - In the theater...I only went to the shows where the ship's singers/dancers performed and the crew talent show. For the most part, the singer/dancers were pretty good. However, they only performed to pre recorded music. There was never a live band at their ...
The ship is first class, everywhere is spotlessly clean, the cabins are kept clean and tidy, the sheets, pillowslips and towels are pure white and changed frequently, as are the rubbish bins.
There are various restaurants around the ship, the food served is A1 first class and really cannot be faulted, do not expect English cuisine it is mainly Italian based. My only real gripe is, that ...
This was one of the worst vacations that I have ever been on. We are a family of 4 with 2 children, ages 6 and 8. Every port we came to we could not wait to get OFF the ship.
The food is terrible and every day it's the same thing in and out. You literally gag walking through the buffet every morning because you are so disgusted and sick of the food.
Everything costs extra $. You can't ...
If I were to sum up the performance of my first Costa Cruise Experience in one word it would be "LAZY".
Background:
I am a retired Hotel Manager, having managed 3,4 & 5 Star Hotels in seven countries.
This is my 5th cruise. I am 61 years of age, therefore not young nor old.
My wife and I chose this cruise because of the ports of call that we had never previously visited. It also was ...
This was our first cruise with Costa and whilst we enjoyed our holiday overall we thought the Costa NeoRiviera was poor in comparison with other cruise companies who we have travelled with.
Arrived at Dubai Cruise Terminal at 8am and was not allowed to embark until 7pm - yet passengers who were embarking for the same cruise itinerary when we disembarked were allowed to do this at 9.30am!!! ...
My sister and I have done quite a bit of cruising. This was our first on Costa and it will be our last on Costa. The destination was what caught my sister's imagination. She has always wanted to go to India. I didn't like India but you can't blame Costa for that bit. However, overall the trip was pretty awful. We tried to make the most of it but here's a catalogue of negative comments with ...
This cruise was a part of our honeymoon, so I spent extensive amounts of time researching and planning. I am writing this review because I found it difficult to find a straight-forward review. We loved it & would have booked sooner with more confidence if it wasn't for the cruise snobs complaining about the smallest trivial things!
This is what we wanted in our cruise:
1. Clean and ...
Fantastic first time cruise with Costa! The ship is awesome, very glitzy and modern, clean throughout. Facilities are diverse and finished to a high standard and with the latest technology.
A good feature is the costa mobile app which allows you to chat freely amongst passengers using your device. Internet is affordable and they offer several plans to suit your needs
Embarkation was a bit ...
We booked this cruise because of its destinations and reasonable price. Having been on Costa before on several occasions, we were aware of the potential problem with few english speaking passengers but this did not detract from our enjoyment.
We travelled as a group of 8 younger pensioners into dancing and activities, all of which were excellent.
Even the six days at sea from Tenerife to ...
