for the ilands , the menbers off the excursions were not very patient whit people from quebec, everytime we ask for information they said read your paper you get at your room ,only 1 restaurent la carte and buffet all the reste must pay ,theatre show are done by 9pm

Joined this ship in Dubai near the end of January for a five night cruise to Muscat, Sir Bani Yas Island and Abu Dhabi. We had an inside cabin on Deck 1 which was right under the Piazza Casanova, so there was quiet a lot of bumping and music until 1am. We take a trip from Dubai through gulf. The ship was nice , but nothing special. It looks like Venice in 17. Century. Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly, We took a cabin with balcony. To meet up with Italian friends this was the perfect venue. Every evening the shows were especially entertaining: the tenor Emanuele Servidio is world class, worth taking the cruise just to hear his voice. The shows had amazing singing, dancing, production & lighting.

The itinerary was good but book your own tours.
Housekeeping and serving staff work very hard on these ships.
Staff numbers, food, etc. seemed skimpy and we wondered if liabilities from Costa Concordia are having an impact or if this is how cruise lines are going. If so hope people speak up.

We have cruised over 40 times. Costa was the one we never did before. The ship is beautiful and clean. Unfortunately that is the only good thing about this cruise. We couldn't believe how limited everything was unless you paid more. Pizza on an Italian ship NOT INCLUDED cost $8.50. No iced tea or lemon aid.
