Glorified Ferry. Not a luxury cruise

Review for a Europe - Greek Isles Cruise on Celestyal Journey

This cruise seemed a good price and went to places we wanted to visit. I went with my very active/mobile mum and we were looking forward to a gala evening, the evening entertainment and the fine dining options. We purchased a premium drinks package and a room on level 4 which looked lovely on the photos. This was the ships maiden voyage after a €20M refit Our disappointment started ...

We choose this cruise specifically for the itinerary. The over nights in Mykonos and Santorini were the deciding factor. I have been on over 30 cruises with multiple cruise line and I can honestly say this ship was not ready for passengers. We were on the maiden voyage of the Journey and found out that the crew arrived the same morning as the passengers. The ship was not cleaned, it was in fact ...

Review for a Europe - Greek Isles Cruise on Celestyal Olympia

Celestyal Olympia is a very old Royal Caribbean Ship, that is now operated by Celestyal. Background is that I had my honeymoon on this ship, when it was the Song of America in 1990. It leaves from the Port of Lavrion near Athens, and not in Rhodes. This form did not have the cruise port listed. This is a small port, with a parking lot next to the ship that is well below the cost of a USA ...

This has been my first trip and I am a solo traveller. I was a bit sceptical after reading all the reviews but this cruise and the staff exceed my expectations. I stayed in the cruise four nights and I couldn't have packed more things or visited more places in such little time. Every day plenty of activities to keep you occupied and fit in the boat. From Greek lessons to south American ...

Overall the cruise was very well organized. The crew and service staff were top notch, I have no complaints. The food was plentiful, but needs more assortment and diverse cuisine. Mainly Asian cuisine was cooked in various varieties. The cabin was serviced daily and good hygiene was maintained, no complaints. The destinations were great to passed. Enough with the positives. I had booked a ...

If you have cruised on larger ships with a variety of decent food options and amenities, this ship is not for you or maybe any Celestyal cruise. I have been cruising for over 25 years and have had some bumps but this experience was subpar, a 2.5 is more accurate rather than a 3. I made this selection for the ports and as the lovely people at the Celestyal call center explained the staff and food ...

My family was absolutely blown away by the incredible dining service that we received on the Celestyal Olympia Iconic Aegean Cruise. We dined in the Galileo room and were served by Lais and Gede who were just fantastic! The wine steward, Yassir, spoiled us with extremely fast coffee service and even took the time to teach me (a new wine drinker) about wine tasting. My family is a mix of ...

BRILLIANT! RECOMMEND!

I wanted to cruise Greek islands and this ship seemed to offer less tenders and more of a Greek holiday experience with good offers too with drink package and off shore tours included in price. We had an inside cabin for a change and with the inside wall full size water/mountain scene it was lovely. The shower was a good size too with plenty of hot water. We did not want fancy Atriums, ...
