As a wee retirement treat after nearly 40 years as a Firefighter decided to take my wife on another cruise for the first and will be the last time with Celebrity. Can say from start to finish we had nothing but issues. Rather than give you a daily account of my miserable cruise I shall list the Celebrity failures.
Soon as wee stepped on board was met by slightly aggressive Stewards as they ...
The Eclipse is a well maintained ship; the crew is excellent, specifically our cabin attendant Kemjoral, Head Waiter Nur and Assistant Waiter Uman. Our veranda cabin was comfortable and clean, the only drawback was a lack of storage. Dining in the main dining room was very good, lots of excellent choices, well prepared and outstanding service. We ate in the Tuscan Grill which is well worth the $45 ...
We cruised last year on celebrity millenium, where we booked this cruise. the solstice class is much better than the millenium class and much bigger.
Check in:
We checked in online which made it faster and more efficient at the terminal.
I WILL WRITE OBOUT THE DOWN SIDE FIRST SINCE IT REALLY BOTHERED ME:
Lots of people for two days are trying in a very pushy and tacky way, to sell you ...
This is our first cruise on Celebrity Millenium having sailed previously mainly on Royal Carribean International (RCI)
My husband and I have not been to Bali, Phuket and Penang for many years and this was a cruise to reacquaint ourselves with these interesting destinations.
Our embarkation was rather quick since we were Platinum members from RCI and within 30 minutes we were on the ship. We ...
This is a two-part review. First the good part. Well, not so good for me but favorable to the Celebrity Xpedition. On the second day of the cruise, I went to the ship's doctor (Dr. Marsha) and found that I had appendicitis. Although this wiped out the rest of the cruise for my wife and me, I have to praise the staff of the Xpedition. This ship is perhaps the only one in the Galapagos that is ...
This was the itinerary we wanted and we had recommendations about Celebrity from family. As this was our first ocean cruise we were - frankly - skeptical. We've traveled the globe extensively but not by sea. Slowly we were won over. The ship was just out of dry-dock and was in excellent shape. We found the meals and entertainment to be outstanding. The personal approach to customer service by our ...
Check-in in Singapore was the best such experience ever. Curb to cabin in less than 30 minutes. Don't know whether it is Celebrity or the port itself, but it was super efficient and easy.
Celebrity suite 9098 was amazing. Next time I shall book a deck lower due to noise from the pool deck. Food was overall better than on previous cruises. Classic bevvy package was more than adequate. Staff were ...
We sailed a year ago on the Eclipse on a similar itinerary and liked the idea of sailing for two weeks without returning to port after seven days so we booked again.
Embarkation was a nightmare and if Celebrity just communicated what problems they were experiencing it would have been acceptable. There were not enough staff checking people in particularly for the non-preferred cruisers. ...
This was my fourth time on Celebrity, third time on an S class ship. I think they're the perfect size and layout. Because I'm Diamond on Royal Caribbean, I'm also Elite on Celebrity, which gave several great benefits. My cabin attendant was the same I'd had on Equinox three years before, John, and our cabin was kept spotlessly clean.
Embarkation was a nightmare because Customs delayed boarding. ...
Good service in the cabin from the filipino and indonesian stewards. The cabin itself was the usual as we expected.Clean and comfortable enough even for a longer cruise Anyway we dont stay that much inside and like the life on board. The food at the buffet was generous and international. We apreciated specially the variety of european, french and italian, cheeses with the according french bread. ...
