Recently completed our 2nd cruise on the Valor. The only ship we have ever sailed on twice. Was it a different experience? Yes, but would have to be because of the pandemic. Some things were better or at least about the same and some were not as good. When comparing I will start with the entertainment. The offering in the Red Frog Pub (Our go to hangout) was not near as entertaining as our ...
The Valor is an older ship and she shows her age some, however, it's still a great boat and an awesome experience! We sailed out of New Orleans and ported in Cozumel and Progreso in January. The weather was a little on the brisk side till we got further south. I could spend most of my time on the boat bc they have so many things to do. We ended up upgrading our room to a balcony last second and ...
This cruise was originally scheduled for April 2020 but kept getting postponed due to COVID. We were finally able to go in January 2022 - which was great because my daughter is pregnant and Carnival does not allow you to sail past 24 weeks. She was 22 weeks when we went. Although I will mention that no one ever asked about it - so if you are worried about it because you are cutting it close - ...
Embarkation was very well handled - quick access to the ship. The Mardi Gras is beautiful to look at. The balcony state room was very roomy, had lots of storage, bathroom is upgraded with roomy shower and glass shower door. The room steward did a great job. There are a lot of dining options, but the quality has dropped a bit from other recent Carnival cruises. Guy's Burger joint changed the fries ...
We wanted a five day cruise on Carnival leaving out of Cape Canaveral in January. We booked in early November, so the new stricter vaccination protocols hadn’t started yet. Carnival was in constant communication with us regarding their requirements, I am very thankful for that.
The ship although somewhat older, was pristine, everyone wearing masks, and the crew was so kind and professional as ...
Been on every ship class in the Carnival fleet and this one blew me away? Yes she is MASSIVE so prepare for walking. The sports square on the ship is amazing from mini golf, sky course, roller coaster. The adult serenity area was huge and has its own swimming pool. For an extra fee you can go to the second level. Im very glass Carnival brought back the actual show lounge and not a multi purpose ...
I am not a review writer. I believe that if people do a good job, you should let others know. I also believe that if there is something that people should be aware of, they should know before they spend their money. Please read until the end. This is my experience and I would like people to know the positive as well as the things to be aware of.
With that said, this was not an awful cruise, but ...

My friend got me along with his Family trip for his Auntie’s Bday Celebration and what sold me out is it was a cruise in Mexico! there you go! travel junkie here, but anyways.. it was a 5 days (01/15- 3pm Sailing | 01/20-8am Disembarkation) cruise to Mexico, since Pandemic I wasn’t really expecting anything and I even thought it might get cancelled, but hey! there I was having a glass of piña ...
Our NCL cruise was canceled 4 days before departure so we switched to this. Got balcony cabin, forward,. We like to sleep with balcony door open for the fresh air and ocean sounds. Impossible in this cabin. EVERY NIGHT except the last, there was a very loud party going on with shrieking laughter and loud music. We think it was from an upper deck of Haven. It was horrible. Also bed was a brick. No ...
