Asia is about as local as it gets to Australia and we enjoy the region so this cruise provided a good option for us. Had travelled on a smaller ship in the past (Silver Whisper) and enjoyed the experience plus like the idea of all inclusive. Ship boarding was painless and quick. Disembarkation for shore excursions was well organised and painless, as was final disembarkation. Journey had a recent ...
We're experienced cruisers and have taken many trips with Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and others, as well as several smaller ship cruises on other lines, and we prefer cruises that are not all-inclusive. Wanting to explore RC's luxury experience, we booked with Azamara for the first time. We knew the Journey was old and we were expecting less opportunities for entertainment and dining, so no ...
We chose this cruise, for an early 70th Birthday treat. It was to an area of the world we longed to see.
My husbands first cruise, and he wasn't sure what to expect. But he soon got in to life on board.
Everything about Azamara is slick, and perfectly organised.
Don't expect large showy shows. The entertainment in the evening was more cabaret, with individual performers. All very ...
This was a surprise birthday gift. The suite was spacious and wonderful. Raphael saw to our every need. Teatime in room was a treat. The before dinner crudities were the best of any ship thus far. There were no plates of stale bread covered with cheese.
Aqualina and Prime had wonderful selections. Each meal was better than the previous one.The one time we ate in the main diningroom we thoroughly ...
This was our first cruise ever, so did not know what to expect.
We paid extra to have Azamara arrange all our flights and transfers, which at the time we thought to be expensive.
However the whole experience was stress free, the hotels were good, and the transfers were seamless, so we felt it was money well spent.
The food was good and varied with plenty of gluten free options as well ...
We selected to try Azamara due to the itinerary offered: 2 sea days from/to Miami; St.John USVI; Terre de Haut - Guadeloupe; Roseau - Dominica (2 months prior sail date replaced by Philipsburg - St Maarten); Charlestown - Nevis; Gustavia - St Barts; Virgin Gorda - BVI (replaced during cruise due to bad weather & swells by St Croix USVI).
We have sailed with Cunard's QM2; Royal Caribbean's ...
Destinations and the experience of a good trip on the sister ship Journey, unfortunately the restaurants on Quest fail miserably to compete with the standards achieved on Journey.
Friday night dinner,X 8 returned raw or uncooked fish to the kitchen, gave up after so many attempts, the fish was never cooked to a safe edible plate noting a warning on the menus of the perils of uncooked fish, a ...
We only use this cruise line, as we don't need any other. The staff and service are exemplary, the food and selection of resturant's is awesome, especially if Monica is Head Chef..... everyone on staff are now our friends and welcome us back like they have known us for years..... I don't know how they do it..... Even Captain Jose... He is wonderful and always accessible and willing to help. ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary; being a smaller ship it could go to smaller ports. It was nice being the only ship in port so there weren't many people ashore. The visibility of the Officers was amazing and they were always so friendly - they were everywhere, sometimes even helping serve the speciality buffets.
The variety and quality of the food in the Windows Cafe ...
We have cruised on Azamara at least 5 time prior to this cruise so we had a level of expectation. It was not met in many respects.
Since Azamara had a promotion on the air flights they booked our arrival to the San Juan airport for a 5:49 PM arrival. By the time we got our bags and a taxi it was around 7 PM when we got to the ship which was scheduled to leave at 9 PM.
At the doc there were ...
