This was our 9th cruise with American Cruise Lines. Every cruise has been what we desired or wanted it to be. We like ACL for our lifestyle and travel goals. Why? 1. Because we wanted to travel the USA-we liked the European trips but wanted to know this nation more fully. 2, Fantastic crew members from wait staff to Captain. 3. Quite nice staterooms-quiet and well maintained. 4. Enjoyable dining ...
Cabin was clean and comfortable. Staff was attentive but not as professional as European or Asian staff. Mostly young people that get switched around on their ships all the time.
I was told by cruise line staff that specialty coffees were available which was not the case. Hotel manager said they used to have a machine but was taken away during COVID and never brought back. Buffet food was ...
I loved this cruise! I've taken several cruises on American Cruise Lines and I always enjoy them so much! I am so impressed by the crew on these boats. Everyone is so cheerful and happy to do anything you ask. The staff in the dining room is amazing, as is the food. If I ask for anything special or different there is nothing they won't do for you. I wanted sugar free desserts, which weren't on ...
Our adult grandson (41) and wife had never been on a cruise. We had been to Alaska a number of times with Regent and found an itinerary from Juneau to Juneau on a smaller ship and thought that would be something they would enjoy with being able to get up close and personal with nature.
We have to say that our experience on ACL was positive. The ship is well cared for, food and service ...
We chose this cruise because it is very convenient as we live in the Portland area. We went on river cruises in Europe and liked them a lot. This experience was different. We liked the staff and how well the excursions were organized, but except evening performances there were only enrichment lectures on board. No evening parties, no contests, no events on the sun deck. There was a lot of food and ...
We did a lot of tendering to the shore. In Bar Harbor we tendered in then had to take 50 min bus ride just to see Bar Harbor . That's just one example . This ship ran out of Diet Soda 5 out of 10 days. At every port they said they had a shipment but lied You feel for the cost of the cruise they wouldn't run out of food but examples hotdogs ,vanilla ice cream, dinner rolls and cheese for the nacho ...
Wanted to experience the lower Mississippi River, and this cruise was an excellent way to do that. Small number of passangers made the cruise a delight, while never feeling crowded or having to wait in any line for any service. This was our third trip on an American Cruise Line ship, and the service and personnel are over the top excellent. Could not hope for a better vacation.
Food was ...
We wanted a cruise with a Lewis and Clark theme and we got it. We went from Portland to Astoria, and then up the Columbia and then the Snake. Ended at Clarkson, WA.
Two things made this cruise: 1) the historian on board, Robert Heathcock, was excellent. He gave four main lectures on L&C, and numerous mini lectures on the locks, ports, and geology. 2) the scenery was breathtaking: forests, ...
We chose this cruise because it was an eagle society cruise. We been on right at 14 cruises. Everything was so beautifully plated at dinner, especially the desserts. They had all kind of different styles. We had never seen a chocolate Acl before and this is our 14th cruise with American Cruise Lines it was very unique a lot of it was very thought out one night we had a cherry compote cheesecake it ...
This American Cruise Line cruise on the American Song from May 28, 2023 to June 11, 2023 was spectacular. The cruise is named the Lewis and Clark tour. It was so well organized and fun. The ship left Portland and headed to Astoria just west of Portland. It is a beautiful and historic town. The historian who came with us explained the history of Lewis and Clark. He had slides and artifacts at the ...
