6-10 Cruises

While the cruise itself was very good there are a few things that I was disappointed about, the first being the smoking area. Why do the cruise ships allow smokers to smoke on the promenade deck? The promenade deck is advertised as a place to walk around the deck to get some exercise, yet every time we attempted to go for a relaxing walk, we had to walk through the smoking area and the fumes ...

Originally we were thinking to hire a campervan and drive to KI stopping along the way at various sites, but when I checked the availability for short cruises, this one turned up as a viable alternative to a self drive and far cheaper. I read many reviews before booking, many of them unfavorable to the old girl, Pacific Eden, so my expectations were not high. Having cruised with Celebrity the ...

First Time Cruiser

First time cruisers - bought this cruise on a whim at a travel expo. Middle-aged couple - I've been around (smaller) boats for a long time, my wife was new to all this. Pre-trip P&O support was excellent, embarkation very efficient. We were on-board several hours earlier than expected so explored our cabin and the ship. Nice ship and friendly crew, good on-board facilities (other than the WiFi ...

1st 4 days were very rough with a lot of passengers feeling unwell. Once we docked at Noumea the sea was much calmer from then on. Atmosphere on board is very relaxing. Food is fairly good. Nothing to rave about. On-board activities were ok. Most not at the best times for us or not things we would enjoy. Met some fantastic people who we keep in touch with, which was the highlight of the ...

We chose this cruise as it went from Melbourne (a lot easier to get to than Sydney for us) & it was to celebrate my 70th Birthday. It was also my husbands 71st birthday while we were on board. We hadn't been on the Eden before. We went around the Pacific Islands for 12 nights then did back to back to Adelaide for 2 nights. Our cabin was very nice. Oceanview on deck 6 right at the back of the ...

Just wanted a short break with friends.First morning we sat down to eat at the Pantry and were next to 5 Asian ladies whom we noticed 2 of them vomiting into plastic bags. Were mortified and left straight away. Didn't seem to be anyone in charge to speak to. Definitely not enough people to clean tables after eating.Supposed to go to Kangaroo Island which didn't happen so very disappointed with ...

My husband and I have just returned home from a 5 night cruise to Tasmania on the Pacific Eden. This is my very objective review of our experience. I apologise as it is quite lengthy as I wanted to be thorough! Getting on board was a very stress free process, we probably queued for about 15 mins which was pretty good considering there were a LOT of people in the cruise terminal at Melbourne. ...

So, leading up to our cruise on Eden, I read the negative reviews and thought maybe people were just expecting too much... We are a family of 4, incl. 2 kids, 14 & 10. We are pretty easy to please and not super fussy so the fact I'm complaining means something is really not right on this ship! Embarkation was fine, no real greeting once stepping onboard though... Cabin staff were ...

Having just returned from an 11 night cruise on the Pacific Eden we are happy now to be home . The cruise started out well with priority embarkation witch was great . As the queue to board the ship was quit long . But we were put straight thro . We went straight up to our room Suite 10031 on deck 10 .. First impression was a nice large room although it was dated . We knew this was not a new ...
