I’ve already done the survey that they send you but realised after I sent it that I hadn’t commented on the born to dance show that I went to see while I was on the cruise . It was absolutely spectacular, I still can’t believe how good it was . I’ve been to watch shows all over including west end and broadway and this was way up there with the best . The singers and dancers were fabulous . Food ...

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Grand Princess

Choose this 3 day cruise from Melbourne to Sydney in order to use our cruise credit from a cancelled 2020 cruise. We were very happy that Princess had extended the period in which to use the credit. We chose a Club class Mini Suite with the Princess Plus package. The Good Embarkation was so quick & easy. We had already uploaded all required documents onto the Medallion App as requested. ...

Our first cruise was with Princess as a 'taster'. We love the cruise, and the line, and decided to cruise with them again. We had a balcony stateroom the first time and for our second cruise chose a Club Class Mini Suite. We were not disappointed! The Grand entered service in 1998, as to be ecpected, was showing some minor 'wear and tear', but nothing to write about. As a marine engineer I ...

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Azamara Quest

After cruising Regent and Seabourn we were looking for a more casual experience coupled with an in-depth itinerary of New Zealand, and Azamara fit the bill. Itinerary included Melbourne,Tasmania and the North and South Islands in New Zealand. We were lucky enough to have great weather in Milford Sound and Captain Magnus did a great job navigating the ship. We loved the genuinely friendly crew, ...

Brilliant trip from Melbourne to Hobart

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Carnival Legend

The crew, security and cleaning staff were all stellar. Melbourne folks are an absolute blast to party with. Carnival Liberty sells more alcohol than any other ship in the fleet largely due to the good folks from Melbourne's love for celebrating life to the fullest! If your looking for a glass-half-full trip then this is the one. It's also largely suitable for families, we could see no ...

Cruise for Oldies and Families

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Diamond Princess

We are a family of 3. This was our 3rd cruise with Princess. Previously we cruised with Dawn to Brisbane and Sun to Melbourne, one way. Both the Dawn and the Sun catered to all types and we had a good time. I wanted to try the Diamond Princess for its size. The ship is big and at times you wonder where everyone is, but on this cruise it was full - 2823 paying passengers. Embarkment and ...

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Carnival Spirit

First Time Cruiser • Age 50s

I now know why there are bad reviews for this ship on this and other sites , it's the passengers not the carnival spirit !! Our embarkation in Melbourne was problem free and we were able to access our stateroom after a drink and walk around. The stateroom was a reasonable size for 2 adults and 2 children and had good storage. The bathroom was adequate with good water pressure and plenty of hot ...

The wife and I have enjoyed two excellent cruises from Sydney with P&O previously (Jewel 2010 & Pearl 2011). This time we have just come back from trying out the new(ish) Carnival Spirit, sailing from Melbourne to Tasmania and back to Sydney, and we are so glad we did. We read the usual blogs which complained about there being too many kids, food wasn't great, unclean rooms, etc, but we can't ...

We are a couple in our early 60's who had first cruised on our honeymoon in the mid 70's. Having taken a two night sampler on Dawn Princess, we followed up by another cruise on Dawn Princess to view the total eclipse of the sun in November 2012. This cruise we traveled from Newcastle to Melbourne by train, with overnight stops at Campbelltown and Albury where we were able to visit my wife's ...
