As this cruise was leaving from MELBOURNE and was a special event for us we thought CUNARD would be worth cruising with as have never cruised with them before. it did not disappoint, everything from entertainment, food, cleanliness of rooms was wonderful. and would like to give a big shout out to Jonash who kept our room immaculate. Food was exceptional, whether dining room or on 9th floor for ...

Our first time back on Cunard since pre COVID but have done many Princess and Holland america cruises. Both HAL and Princess have cutback on so many things and added extra charges for many things that were once free . The Royal class Princess ships are like travelling in a Westfield mall with most bars speciality restaurants and lounges opening off the main atrium which hold aerobics and ...

A Most Enjoyable Cruise

This was our second cruise on QE, a five-day voyage from Melbourne to Hobart (with an overnight stay) and return to Melbourne. Our previous cruise was in March 2023, a repositioning voyage from Melbourne to Singapore. Although the repositioning cruise was most enjoyable, there were some service issues resulting from staff shortages. Happily, the Hobart cruise did exceed all our ...

Overall a superior experience to that of multiple other cruise lines (P&O Princess Pacific Celebrity). Excellent customer service. Free room service (food). Food generally of excellent quality. Steaks at The Verandah restaurant to die for. Pizza at Lido average. Older crowd. Very few children. Dress code but with casual dining options as well. Formal Gala nights. Bed and pillows are divine. ...

My cruise was a surprise arranged by my friend. I was amazed. Arriving we were greeted by friendly porters and our suitcases were taken to our booked cabins. We then waited some time in five rows filling out paperwork before being served at a counter, then given further documents for customs. Staff were continually on hand to manage the rows. Once through Customs we walked towards the ...

First time Queens grill great experience

This was our first experience on Cunard and we stayed in the top level Queen’s Grill accommodations. We previously have done a number of cruises with Princess. The trip did not start well when we could not find the Cunard representative at the airport to get our airport to pier transfer at the start of the trip. We were at Melbourne airport, but the number to call in our Cunard documentation ...

Fantastic Christmas and New Year Cruise

This was my first cruise with Cunard. I knew ahead of time what I was in for as I had done plenty of research before and after booking. I booked this itinerary because I wanted to spend Christmas Day at sea and dress up for evenings and gala occasions. I chose Cunard because I wanted a different (largely child free) experience as compared to other cruise operators. The embarkation and ...

Japan for Sakura or Cherry Blossom

Review for a Asia Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

" Slow boat " to Japan for the Sakura or Cherry Blossom, and a bit of sightseeing, fine dining and some dancing in between, that was the idea and why not, take 19 nights instead of 9 hours fly direct. It is the journey that matters and something to reminisce in future. See photos. In Nov 2017, we travelled the shinkansen or bullet train around Japan for the autumn foliage and kind of felled in ...

Apart from having to queue for 90 minutes to check in due to Cunard computer crashing several times, the cruise was everything we expected and more. There was a bottle of champagne waiting in our cabin, robe and slippers supplied and lovely toiletries and the beds were so comfortable. There was plenty of choice in Lido restaurant for breakfast and lunch and dinner in Britannia restaurant was ...
