This is an engineering marvel. The ship, brand new or four months old, is really a fabulous construction. The food was more than adequate for a cruise of which this was our 6th. Compared with other multiple Costa cruises done on other ships, the Diadema has been a disappointment. The ship (5000 passengers) has the same surface area of public space (swimming pool, dance floor, theater, reception) as other smaller ships (3000 passengers), thus causing overcrowding and long waiting in line for lunch or reception.
