Lots of great things but some issues with food

This was my first ever Costa cruise so I had no idea what to expect. The check-in went smoothly on my arrival in Barcelona with my bags taken, given a boarding card and told to await for boarding on the first floor at my allotted time. Costa Diadema, November 2015, 7 day Western Mediterranean. Costa's newest, largest and glitziest ship. a version of Carnival's newest Fantasy class. Ports included Savona, Marseille, Barcelona, Palma, Naples and La Spezia. Diadema: a disappointment

Compared with other multiple Costa cruises done on other ships, the Diadema has been a disappointment. The ship (5000 passengers) has the same surface area of public space (swimming pool, dance floor, theater, reception) as other smaller ships (3000 passengers), thus causing overcrowding and long waiting in line for lunch or reception.
