Surprised and disappointed

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Mariner of the Seas

Belonged to a group who decided to put together a cruise to Bermuda. Hadn’t been there in years and wanted to go there again. Was disappointed when , due to a hurricane, the itinerary changed. We understood the reasoning , for our safety, but was very disappointed. Instead of getting to Bermuda, first at 8am and leaving the next day at 3:30, we went there last. Got there 5pm. Left next day at ...

I picked this cruise ship to renew my vows. I had an awesome time on the ship. GSM, Mr. Gerald, was the sweetest person on the ship. A big heart. Ronald, Tracy who works in Promenade Cafe... Ostestes in dining room 3..., and Dinelo were SUPERB. ❤️ The ship was clean, workers were very helpful and friendly. Food was amazing!! New, clean towels daily, menus in the cafeteria changed ...

Never in my entire life have I seen so many old people in one place. If you are younger and going to have fun with people in their 20’s or younger this is definitely not the cruise line for you. Because the ship is mostly all elderly people most of the activities are for old people. Ship was so boring spend most days taking naps till the one good event of the day if there was any. Most cruise ...

Main Dining Room and Windjammer Buffet POOR MEAT QUALITY, We No Lnger Recommend RCCL & we won't be back.

We've been cruising since the 1970's with RCCL and are Diamond level customers. We will not cruise with RCCL again !!! RCCL has cut back on selections and the quality of the meats served in the Main Dining Room and Windjammer Buffet. We paid $8K for an 8 day cruise with a spacious balcony cabin, drink packages, one specialty dinner and The Key. The very least RCCL could do is serve a ...

My family of 5, ages 53, 52, 24, 22, 22, chose this cruise because of the itinerary. This was our 10th cruise with Royal Caribbean and we never visited Curaçao or Aruba before. Embarking/Departure: This was the most disappointing part of the cruise, but it was not Royal Caribbean’s fault. Embarking was delayed about 45 minutes due to the Coast Guard’s yearly inspection. Departing was a ...

An overcrowded cruise on an old ship

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Mariner of the Seas

This cruise was way too crowded for comfort. The pool chairs we always full. There is no splash pad and no babies allowed in the pool. Not even a blow up pool on the deck unless you agree to carry it full of water to the bathroom and dump the water there. There were only 4 bathroom stalls for the main pool. Our aft suite looked over a blue roof and horizontal multiple metal bars. There ...

Overall, the cruise was pleasant and we set ourselves up with some very low expectations after reading previous reviews. The crew/staff did a fantastic job and many went well above expectations. The stairs and public area carpets looked new, the rooms were dated but overall were in good shape. Artwork throughout the ship has changed since our last RCCL cruise about 6 years ago and it was a nice ...

Big cuts in quality of service

We love Royal Caribbean, we've sailed tons of times. This cruise was different, room was only cleaned once a day, dirty towels left from day to day. Asked crew member about the captain and they didn't know his name or anything about him. Dinner service was the worst, no personal interaction, no jokes, no laughter...just very cold compared to all previous ships. We had been told on the phone ...

Not for me...

While I am happy to have experienced Royal Caribbean again after two decades, I have come to the firm conclusion that this cruise line is not for me. In what seems like another lifetime, 20 years ago my parents took myself and siblings on the Splendor of the Seas the week following my college graduation. I have only fantastic memories of the ship, service, food and ports of call (San Juan, St. ...

I have been on the Mariner of the seas before, I loved the food decided to book again months later. The food both on the buffet and restaurant was all days the same, very disappointed, because in the past was not like that, the prices are high now, and the food is worst than COVID times, I dont understand why the change... The cruise is clean and their island is really nice, did a good job ...
