When you book a GS or higher you expect that little extra. Not just a JR suite, with more space and some more perks. So the 1264 GS stateroom attendant had some years of experience, but still forgot that we wanted ice all days, preferably both in the morning and evening. That was not the gold & anchor standard. Also since this was a part of a B2B, we thought that the stateroom would be reset to its original state on the new cruise. This did not happen, i.e minibar not refilled and checked. Amenities was not restocked in the bathroom, or toothbrush cups and soap holder. Reason for this we heard was that the state room attendant was not allowed to touch our stuff. But he did move other things around. So anyway not a fresh restart. One thing we got a restart on, was our wardrobe doors. On the first cruise of the B2B, we called maintenance twice in order to make sure that all of the wardrobe doors closed properly. This lead them to replacing lots of hinges, adding screws. making bigger holes etc. But they did not adjust them properly. So shortly after the second cruise was started, the hinges was getting loose (because the doors was touching each other and lifting them out of place) and we had to call maintenance again. (And a GS wardrobe door is quite a heavy piece of wood, you don't want that on your head). This time they read the IKEA instructions of hinges properly and managed to adjust them to work. And this time without leaving smudge marks. Also you should check repairs in the wardrobes, since in 1264 they had replaced the wardrobe door stops with a DIY construction, which meant that the stop it self pokes into the ward robe (possibly against your cloths), and not folding along the door as it should. Also one thing about 1264, it is located under the solarium, but they do move around sun loungers in the early morning between 4-6am, so this is sounds which could wake you up if you are a light or normal sleeper. The balcony of GS is quite shallow, and does not have a normal reclining sun lounger. Bed is rather hard, and if you like a softer bed, ask for extra foam mattresses. So all in all, 1264 is a roomy stateroom, lots of space for cloths, nice couch , armchairs, TV (with a lack to watchable TV channels though(why have) but could be much better maintained and serviced. Our cabin 1248 (GS) was fantastic. Large, and next to the stairs and elevator, so easy to get to the spa and fitness center. Large balcony and high quality deck furniture. Very private balcony. The only noise in the cabin was when people above us on the pool deck moved deck chairs, but not a big problem. Plenty of storage space. Very nice, large bathroom. Not many electrical outlets, but could deal with that. Read Less

Stayed in a grand suite. Plenty of storage, huge bathroom, great balcony, very quiet even though it looks like it is near the elevators in the deck plans.

1264 is on the right side of the ship just forward of mid ships. Randy was the cabin steward and did a great job. The noise from deck 11 (pools-deck chairs, etc) was nothing like what I feared. The balcony was very long but we really didn't use it that much due to the November temps and some rain. The bathroom was very large with two sinks and a big tub. Three big closets and tons of drawer space. Three adults with full luggage and didn't use it all, not even close. The Grand Suite is a great room for 3 or 4. Read Less

We were in a grand suite on deck 10. There was so much storage space, we couldn't begin to fill the space. We didn't really use our bar very much. However, it was nice to have the counter area. The suite was extremely spacious. The carpet & curtains were in great shape. The room was very soundproof. I never heard our neighbors, even though they said they were watching their tv at a loud volume. The bathtub is nice. However, the tub is so high, I don't know how older passengers can climb in & out without injury. The bathrooms had 2 sinks; good for my marriage :-). There is a wonderful curtain that can be drawn to make a separate room. This was handy when my husband wanted to read at 4 AM. The balcony has a full size lounger and a table with 2 chairs. The air-conditioning worked well. Read Less
