Old and tired ship!

Review for Mariner of the Seas to Bahamas

I went to call and the phone was filthy!!! The amount of crud around the buttons was so thick, it was a petri dish of germs! I made the mistake of picking up the handset only to discover as I was bringing it to my face that the ear piece was covered with makeup. This white phone had a tan! I'll bet this is exactly where I developed COVID from 3½ days later. The more I looked around the room, the ...

Exceeded our expectations

This was our very first cruise for my wife and I. No special occasion, we just decided since we live in Florida, we might as well try a cruise. I bought our tickets through an agency my work uses and that was seamless. We picked a balcony cabin on the 7th deck, 7658, thinking that level will be quiet and conveniently located. My wife can’t walk long distances, so she used a transport ...

Great Ship for Weekend Getaway

I mainly chose this cruise for the convenient 2-night itinerary to Coco Cay for my daughter and I. A few of the highlights and tips: Service: everyone was friendly and helpful. I didn’t get a sense they were understaffed, which I know has been a complaint for many lines. Food: Jamie’s Italian was excellent. The buffet was decent for buffet food. They kept the stations filled even with the ...

Bad value, poor staff

I cruised royal Caribbean a few years ago and had a great time. This time around, I've found it to be a shadow of what it was from even a few years ago. The number of activities was far fewer. The food quality, preparation, and potions lower. Large blocks where child care was unavailable including during formal dining. And between myself and others in my group there were so few positive staff ...

Went on Mariner of the Seas, 5 nights to Labadee and Coco Cay. Frequent cruisers but first time after just one on Royal Caribbean years ago. Was multi-generational trip including first cruise for 7 and 9 year old granddaughters. Selected this trip as two great ports and activities on ship and adjourning promenade rooms for 4 family members. Enjoyed the ports and would return to both private ...

I felt Misled

We chose this cruise because we wanted to see some new cultures and islands with our kids and experience being on a cruise ship. The staff, food, entertainment were all wonderful. The part that felt misleading was the fact that we had no interaction with any of the cultures of the Islands we visited directly. Royal Caribbean only takes you to the parts of the Island that they have rented or ...

First RCCL Cruise . . . Very Average

We were on a multi-generational family cruise, and the main appeal (during COVID times) of only visiting two private cruise ship islands, Labadee and CocoCay, swayed us to all try Royal Caribbean for the first time. Both islands were spectacular, and we would highly recommend private cabanas. Labadee was our favorite of the two, especially since we were the only ship at port. CocoCay was too ...

Terrible Food

We are Diamond Plus members and have never had such terrible food and service in the Main Dining Room that we had on this cruise. The first night of the cruise we ate at Jamie’s--which was very good. The second night we went to the main dining room and could not believe how horrible it was. It started out badly when we got to our table and found out we were supposed to scan an icon to get our ...

'80s Cruise

This was a Charter Cruise featuring a bunch of 1980s artists (e.g., The Human League, Night Ranger, etc.) and themes. I thought the company that put it all together, ECP, did a great job. The entertainment lineup was really good. It was adult-only cruise. Unfortunately, the ship itself was only so-so. The food was very hit and miss. The food in the MDR was usually good, but the food at The ...

We have been on several cruises most of which have been on Disney Cruise lines. This is our first Royal Caribbean cruise and I will list for you the pros and cons. They are in no particular order and some come from parents and some come from comments made by my children. We are a family consisting of mother father and four Boys ages 20 20 16 and 15..
