"We walked off the ship and onto a shuttle bus to take us to the port's cruise terminal, where there were more shuttle buses to take us to -- the nearest little town, NOT to Bruges.Before the cruise, after I booked the cabin, I went to book shore excursions online and I was confused by "(Destination) On Your Own" shore excursions, which were expensive and apparently consisted of bus transport to and from the city and nothing else...."Read More

Our first cruise since 2012. Everything on Marina lived up to what we remember in terms of great and attentive service. there are always a few crew members who show indifference but the vast majority were wonderful. The measure of service is whether the service during the last 36 hours of a cruise was a good as the first 36. Oceania pretty much nailed it.

My first cruise with Oceania was in 2015 on the Riveria. Terrific itinerary from Athens to Barcelona. We enjoyed it immensely. Not so much years later. I felt stuck in a time warp with the EXACT SAME formulaic routine. Boring !

This was our 8th cruise with Oceania and our first after the pandemic. Some have mentioned that the ship decor is dated, which I agree with, however, I heard they are renovating the ship in a few months. The restaurants were great as usual - my favorite was Jacques. We really like the quiet atmosphere of Oceanic - very few children, not a lot of loud music. The pool area stays relatively quiet.

This was our 6th Oceania Cruise, 3 on each Riviera and Marina. This size of ship suits and have not tried the smaller ones.
