My sister celebrated her 71st Birthday on the ship - the cabin team helped make her day extremely memorable! We were all "over the moon" surprised! Never been on a Cruise line that went to this extent before!!! Well done Oceania!

A Wonderful Voyage Overall With A Special Medical Care Warning At The End

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Marina

Overall the trip was pretty wonderful. My unfortunate experience in the infirmary (see below) marred an otherwise terrific voyage. We mainly dined in the buffet area, which we found to be very good or excellent with plenty of variety, helpful/attentive staff and the some of best desserts we've ever tasted. So a special nod of appreciation to the dessert chef(s) and helpers. The ship in ...

Some highs and lows, but mostly highs

We chose Oceania because of its reputation, and the smaller size of ship which allowed a more port-intensive cruise (No "at-sea" days in the Baltic). We spent more money than we normally would and booked Oceania Suite 11080 - about 1,000 square feet at the back of the ship, with a wraparound balcony. It was our first Oceania cruise after 3 Celebrity cruises + 3 river cruises (2 with Viking ...

Wonderful transatlantic with a few niggles.....

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Marina

The Pros....... - Consistently brilliant service and cuisine in all 4 speciality restaurants, particularly Red Ginger and Toscana....all 4 had particularly professional and hard working Maitre D's. The Malaysian lamb special was a highlight. - Service in Martinis when Karla was on duty was spectacular; she worked the room like a Maitre'D when not mixing the perfect Martini. I've met ...

This cruise was listed as going from Montreal to Southampton and when we booked (end of 2016 onboard) we opted to take their air/ground package. We flew first to Brussels from Manchester and then onto Montreal. Coming home (to get back to the car) Oceania booked us a BA flight from T5. Surprisingly we were the only people on our inbound Air Canada flight although we met another passenger at ...

We went with an alumni group and got off to a bad start when the transfer company bus did not show up.....for 3 hours, then took 2.5 hours to get 5 miles to dock, then union workers went home at 4 p.m. so had to carry our own baggage onto the ship....called Oceania but no help along the way. Given bus telephone that was not answered, then waiting 15 minutes for supervisor only to find out he was ...

Positives: Beautiful, functional ship, and gorgeous suite. Outstanding dining options--6 restaurants to rotate among for dinner. Meals, with a couple notable exceptions, were excellent. Beautiful dining rooms, and very fine service from dining room staff, room stewards, butler. Wonderful guest lecturer gave 8 afternoon talks (mostly on days at sea) all related to our ports and destinations. A ...

Fabulous cruise

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Marina

This was our first time cruising on the Oceania. We chose this cruise because it started in Papeete and ended in LA, so we only had one long distance flight. Overall, all transfers, flights, the ship, ports of call, food everything was perfect. The food was good and we enjoyed the specialty restaurants. We did five ship excursions. There was only one of those excursions that we were ...

Sunshine in the South Pacific

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Marina

I chose this cruise because I wanted to spend my birthday with family in the South Pacific. This cruise line met the timeline and they had a triple available for these dates. Upgraded at the last minute to a Balcony stateroom, very glad we did that. Water beautiful and the sun rose very early. Had coffee on our Balcony before breakfast up in the Terrace Cafe. The Terrace Cafe was the buffet ...

High (very high!) Seas

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Marina

Although we've cruised a dozen times or more, mostly on Celebrity, we booked a December 17 Oceania sailing over Christmas, mostly for the long (12 night) itinerary. Although the Marina holds 1250 passengers, we kept hearing that our sailing carried only 810 passengers, so we certainly received the benefit of excellent passenger:staff ratio!! The food was terrific, and since the ship was not ...
