My sister celebrated her 71st Birthday on the ship - the cabin team helped make her day extremely memorable! We were all "over the moon" surprised! Never been on a Cruise line that went to this extent before!!! Well done Oceania!

Nice ship, good dining, mediocre entertainment

Chosen for Easter Island port, but it was not meant to be. Surf conditions prevented us from going ashore. Whole ship disappointed. Anyone considering a similar cruise, recommend picking one with an overnight to double your chances of getting on the island. Evening entertainment was not very good. With a few exceptions, evenings were pretty boring. Very few ballroom dancing opportunities, ...

Horrible Capitain on this cruise!!!

I have cruised on Oceania numerous times and never had an experience quite like this cruise. The captain has a reputation on the ship of only going to ports he wants to go to and not what is on the schedule and what is best for the guests, under the auspice of weather or other conditions as an excuse. We ended up with 10 days at sea because of this. Over all the cruise was good (not great) and ...

Best cuisine at sea?

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Marina

Yes, Oceania has the best cuisine at sea, unless you are health conscientious. Overweight and obese passengers were in pig heaven on Marina. We personally found the food way too salty, too heavy with too much butter and too much sweet stuff. For the first time on a cruise we had trouble finding something that appealed to us. We personally love fruits, nuts, vegetables, good bred, fresh fish; ...

The food really is wonderful. The cabin was really nice too, comfortable bed and linens. The staff was very friendly especially our steward. But if you wanted a drink at the pool you best hustle on over to the bar because they aren't going to ask if you need anything. Odd because all the restaurant people were on it! Entertainment was marginal to poor. The pool side band played about an hour and ...

SENSATIONAL PORTS ON OK SHIP

Easter Island-RAPA NUI was wonderful. The stop at Pitcairn Island to visit the descendants of the BOUNTY mutineers was terrific. Tahiti, Bora Bora, Raiatea are classic south seas destinations. Tours of ports of call were extremely costly but all were excellent. Seeing the giant MOI on Rapa Nui is a once in the lifetime experience. It was a surprise that Easter Island is absolutely beautiful. ...

After 9 cruises on Marina! Never Again !!

We flew from Brisbane to Papeete via Auckland with Qantas/Air Tahiti Nui to join Marina's 18 day Pacific Stars Cruise. Frankly, Air TN could teach Qantas a thing or two re "in flight" service. We flew home ex LA with Qantas and that was ordinary also. About the cruise! From the beginning we have now totalled nine cruises, all on Marina since she was launched in 2011.Reason? Because you got 41/2 ...

Started in Lima den 16.01.2018 We booked the trip mostly because of the destinationstrip sounded good and free internet, :-( - The ship said it's on their website that the internet is bad??? That almost never worked, and it took so long to come across that I most often gave up The telephone connection was also a very very big problem..... Date 16.03.2018 in Lima It was not ...

Cruise to Easter Island

We chose this cruise for the itinerary, Machu Picchu, Nazca Lines and Easter Island, The pre-tour package for Machu Picchu was well worth it, the third party company chosen by Oceania was excellent. Boarding the tender at Easter Island was exciting to say the least, the crew did a fantastic job. I really think that Oceania has to stick to their recommendations, when the brochure says a ...

Luxurious ship, shame about missing the best highlight of the itinerary

We flew to Tahiti - and after a very long journey getting there, arriving at 5 am, we were taken by bus to a hotel where we were left until we were picked up again and taken to our ship at noon. This meant we saw nothing of Tahiti whatsoever. We chose the cruise because of the itinerary, with the highlight being Easter Island, but in the event the sea was too rough to get off and we missed ...

First cruise on Oceania; not sure we will do another.

We were booked on a 3 week cruise of the Tahitian Islands and missed our trip to Peru the year before and since this one ended in Lima, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to do both. Plus, it was less costly than Celebrity's cruise of the Galapagos Islands and Peru. We had a penthouse suite which was beautiful and immaculate, food was excellent and I am a very picky eater. However, I do ...
