Hero Cruise---Hidden Fees

Review for Margaritaville at Sea Paradise to Bahamas

I have cruised on several cruises and this was by far the worst one I have ever been on. There are so many hidden fees it was ridiculous. I would have been better off paying a little more and going on Carnival or another cruise line. The available food on the boat was buffet only unless you wanted to pay extra to eat in the restaurants. Then the one stop that is made in the Bahamas requires you ...

Typical Booze Cruise

This is not a cruise for experienced cruisers. It was a typical “booze cruise” with lots of children on board. The cruise line changes policy on the fly. The package “Paradise For Two” which we purchased is not longer available on the website. (The package we purchased was $129 more the current offering for $99 and every part of the package was for two except the drink package) The ship did not ...

After reading many of the CC Reviews we had low expectations...A Thanksgiving family gathering put us aboard the Margaritaville at Sea. Being senior cruise veterans we've seen and experienced a lot. Based on these reviews we could easily imagine a 'disaster at sea'. But no! This ship, the crew and dining room exceeded our expectations...This 'quickie' two-night cruise is a pleasure. And the price ...

This cruise was such a disappointment from day 1. The food in the buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner was cold. Mahi Mahi is their staple dish. They use that same fish and make it about 5 different ways; grilled, blackened, steamed, curried, or with red sauce. The eggs were watery and cold. The pancakes tasted weird. The pizza at Frank & Lola’s is good when it’s fresh out the oven. If it’s ...

We had fun but watch those hidden fees. We did the heros cruise which we got one free person and paid port fees for that person.i feel bad for anyone that paid full price or this was their first cruise. If it was my first cruise would of been totally put off from cruising. $29.90 service fee $24.99 fuel fee English is definitely the 2nd language, was hard communicating with people. ...

Margaritaville At Sea Cruise My wife and I went on this cruise for a weekend getaway. This was my first cruise and it was not what I expected. The alcohol drink package was over priced for what you got. We witnessed one of many other complain about the drinks not having enough alcohol. One of the crew members sell drinks explain that the drinks were $12 dollars and the souvenir blender cup was ...

Four couples last minute to take the Margaritaville at Sea cruise. Since we all live locally easy ship for us to take and the two-day itinerary worked out fine. My wife and I have been on multiple cruises on a variety of ships from middle end to super luxury. As long as you know what you are getting into this cruise is OK. The ship is 30+ years old with small cabins. State rooms and all public ...

We booked this cruise because it fit our time line of activities. Arrival was easy. valet parking 44.00 cash or cards and all done right by the entrance. We arrived at 3pm and no lines. The ship was older but you can see where they updated... and where they didn't. The bathrooms need a overhaul. Rooms were spacious with a big porthole window(no balcony rooms). refrigerator was not working, did ...

We got this cruise on the hero’s sail free promotion and only had to pay for the fees and port expenses. With that in mind I could not imagine paying full price for this cruise and feel bad for all the people that did. The check in process was simple and they had signs on where to go. We arrived shortly after 10:30 and only made reservations for JWB Steakhouse. We purchased the swimming with ...

Great first cruise - Little pricey for what you get

Great first cruise. Little more expensive than other cruises but the concierge service was excellent. We got the License to Chill package ($299) and had all the perks. The Express Pass ($49) may be all you need if you only want priority boarding / disembarking. Our package included concierge service, massage, wine tasting, dinner at JW Prime Steakhouse, and treats delivered to your room. The ship ...
