Review for a Amazon River Cruise on Viking Sea

As expected …service and food were wonderful. The cruise was a unique one. The Amazon River is enormous and you can not appreciate it without seeing it. I would recommend starting from Manaus, Brazil and finishing in San Juan, Puerto Rico if you take this voyage. Seeing the river and culture and then moving to the fun and relaxation of the islands made for a splendid expedition. From bird ...

The Ship did not disappoint. The room was great, our room steward was accommodating and did a great job. The Spa service was a great benefit. Our excursions were interesting, and the on-board lectures and entertainment was top notch. We had a lot of dining choices for a small ship. The cocktail service was great. We were always greeted when we exited and entered the ship. If we had a request ...

I know I’m not a seasoned cruiser, but I will tell you this much: I will be back on another Viking ship. Everything was clean, the food was delicious, the staff couldn’t have been better…I seriously can’t think of any complaints. We had a problem with the ports we were supposed to go to (Amazon River was low), but Viking gave us an excellent experience anyway. We even got onboard credit due to the ...

Amazing trip

Review for a Amazon River Cruise on Aqua Nera

We traveled on the Aqua Nera for three days in March, from Iquitos to Nauta. The boat was quite empty due to the recent protests, but we and several other groups were on board. The weather was wonderful, even in the wet season, with only one brief shower during the day. The layout of the boat allows for many spaces to have a private moment, but also spaces for conversations and groups playing ...

I chose this cruise line because it's 18 and over. I didn't realize it was for retired seniors. We were a bit young, but we had a wonderful time. My daughter is 21 and there really wasn't much for her to do. I wish they would have had a club to go chill and possibly dance. But all and all it was fun. Everyone was very nice. I would have loved to have been able to experience more of the ...

We chose this cruise because we wanted to see the Amazon River, the Brazilian rain forest and less-traveled portions of the Caribbean. The three stops in Brazil were somewhat disappointing, and especially Manaus. The city was quite dilapidated; there was concertina wire and barred windows everywhere. Passengers who stayed in hotels during the one-day extension were all advised not to travel ...

This was a once in a lifetime cruise starting in Santiago, Chile….glacial cruising around Cape Horn, Antarctica landings, up the east coast of South America, ending deep in the Amazon in Manaus, Brazil. For booking, this cruise was forty-two days and technically two back to back cruises on Seabourn Quest, which is reinforced for Antarctica. This was the last summer trip to Antarctica for the ...

I picked this cruise because of the unusual and very interesting itinerary. I do not regret selecting this cruise. The crew was very interactive with the guests and catered to our desires. The size of the ship and the quality of the guests lead to a community atmosphere. I think by the end of the cruise there were more than 100 guests and almost the entire crew that greeted me by name. The ...
