Not my best cruise

Review for Marella Dream to Spain

Reviews were mixed but we took a chance as we’d been on 4 Thomson cruises before, although the last one was 8 years ago. What a mistake. The Lido buffet restaurant was awful, horrid seating, massive queues and mediocre food. The Sirens was a lot better for breakfast and lunch. The food was just ok but the choice in the self serve was disappointing, the drinks prices were expensive and the ...

Booked this as a quick break before Christmas,as we live 15 minutes from the port it is ideal, Boarding quick and easy on board with in 10 minutes, boarded early afternoon for a eight o'clock sailing First impressions, ship smaller than we are used to , pools didn't have any water to begin with so took advantage of jacuzzi, afterwards were too busy with young children and babies Cabin very ...

First time solo

Review for Marella Dream to Canary Islands

This was my first time as a solo passenger so that's why I picked the 5 night and am so glad I did I found the ship to be very tired with not much happening for a solo passenger. I usually cruise with P&O and will definitely go back to them. I was in cabin 5211and although it was quite spacious it was very noisy, the shower room had an unpleasant odour and only one socket worked so had to boil the ...

We have sailed on this ship about 7 times but this was the worst one ever, we have taken around 15 cruises with Thomson never know it this bad. Maybe it the take over I don't know but they are cutting back on everything. Never know such small meals served in the restaurant, was always a five course meal now down to three (very small at that) choice so poor and quality not good. All meals served ...

Our First Real Cruise

Review for Marella Dream to Mediterranean

We approached this cruise with some trepidation. We had done the Bay of Biscay a couple of times in rough weather on the big car ferries so no problem there. But we had not used Thomson flights or holidays for some ten years following a dispute over flight seats. (On a holiday to Egypt we did not get the allocated seats we had paid for in advance) The flight turned out to be alright but the ...

When we were getting off the Ship the Police were telling the Passengers to take off there, Jewellery and put it in there bags. This was the port Dominican Republic. And sadly a Couple got mugged by Gun-point, and the passengers on the ship were all quiet upset about what had happened. But we could not fault the Ship every thing was Excellent the food the service everything. The Cabin was ...

Picked this cruises as a b2b Caribbean Horizons and Cuban Fusion as we wanted to leave from Malaga and also visit Cuba. Boarding the ship is easy as you can arrive at any time. We were able to go to our cabin straight away. Good ports of call except Dominican Republic where we were changed to La Romana. Biggest complaint on board was the lack of sunloungers and Policing of this. ...

Great cruise holiday overall, First cruise on the Thomson Dream and was pleasantly impressed.First time in inside cabin and would recommend an outside one from previous experiences but if your budget doesn't allow for this the inside cabins are of a good size, well equipped only difference is no window. All staff were first class in every area of the ship and any request was acted on ...

Dream Cruise on the Dream

Review for Marella Dream to Caribbean - Western

We chose this transatlantic cruise as we enjoy sea days and this cruise had 6 sea days between Malaga and St. Kitts, and because we wanted to try Thomson cruises. We chose an outside plus cabin on deck 6 which was large and very comfortable. Also well positioned to reach other areas of the ship. We were a little concerned that we would miss having a balcony, but as the ship is relatively ...
