Excellent weekend cruise on the beautiful MSC Divina

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Divina

My husband and I did a short weekend cruise form Malaga to Genova at the end of November 2023. We've had fabulous time! The ship was lovely, clean and very well kept. All staff extremely nice and helpful, our room attendant was excellent and hardworking. I felt food in the buffet and the MDR was mediocre and repetitive, but of course we didn't stay hungry. We were lucky with the weather and the ...

Our cruise began and ended in Malaga in March 23. We went to Cadiz, Lisbon, Madeira, the Canary Islands and Gibraltar. The weather started off wet but it got very hot in Madeira. There were passengers joining the cruise at every port and disembarking too. The ports were all lovely except Gran Canaria and Tenerife. Just big towns. We had an inside cabin. The bed was extremely comfortable and ...

very poor (virtually none) entertainment, no communication from NCL regarding change of Port itinerary to Malaga Embarking passengers on the 14th, from Cadiz, to Gibraltar, on the 1st day, Long queues, at the desks i.e destination, credit desk, and guest services. Cancelling Destination trips, leaving very little options available to book, after boarding. The policy seams to have change from ...

Sun was Super. Not now.

Review for a Canary Islands Cruise on Norwegian Sun

This was our second cruise on Norwegian Sun and third with NCL. Like every business in the world they are trying to recover from covid losses but cuts have gone too far! Our cruise diary rates previous NCL entertainment as fabulous; it isn't now. Having the same (albeit fantastically good) violinist for 6 nights out of 10 as the main theatre act lacked imagination. The other 2 major shows lacked ...

The entertainment was not up to the standard of previous NCL cruises.

The itinerary was great, the embarkation was fast and stress-free, cabins were clean and specious, food and food service was better than before, but the entertainment, especially the number of activities, was not up to the standard of previous NCL cruises. There were days without any shows in the Sturdust theater. While Mate is great and had wonderful performances both solo and with his ...

Do not cruise with Marella

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Marella Discovery

This was our 16th cruise with Thomsom/TUI/Marella and we have been left absolutely disgusted with many aspects of the cruise from start to finish. Our overall summary is that the standard of the Marella cruise has plummeted dramatically in terms of service, cleanliness, food, entertainment and friendliness of staff. We do not intend to travel on a Marella cruise again. The problems we ...

My previously booked NCL cruise out of Portugal was cancelled and I was hoping to replace it with similar cruise in the same time block and saw this low-priced alternative but it was a big mistake. Terrible communication, never told me what was needed or even tickets, unable to reach MSC by phone or login in on website. Never told me port of Casablanca cancelled or that could not leave ship at ...

Don't book Tui Marella Cruises- absolutely dreadful!

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Marella Discovery

Although embarkation went smoothly the rest of the cruise was dire. We were told the ship had been undergoing renovations in the month before, but there were problems throughout the ship. The cabins were clean but dated; and there were lots of people having problems with the electrics and air conditioning. Although the room stewards were helpful some of the reception staff were incompetent and ...

Thomson lost its way

Like another reviewer on Discovery 2. We have been cruising with Thomson/Tui for many years and agree with everything they have said. Celebration was our favourite ship until Discovery came and then we saw how tired Celebration looked. Our first cruise on Discovery was really good ;we were really impressed so we booked another. There were 2 years between the cruises. We were shocked how tired it ...

Poor all round

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Marella Discovery

Facilities were poor. Smoking areas were a joke and people were treated like "the great unwashed". Eventually after a Petition was set up the Captain provided a covered smoking area (weather was not very good). They announced it in the daily paper as an additional area, then proceeded to close the smoking area on the sunny deck Day time entertainment was very poor considering the weather, ...
