We really liked the ship, BUT it is in need of an up date. The cabin was rather poor. Only one bedside table, the other side had a standard lamp ? Very strange. We had never sailed with NCL and saw this cruise from Barcelona which included a drinks package. Never had one of those either but we soon got into the swing of things, too much gin ! We stayed in Barcelona for 2 days prior to sailing and it was raing when we arrived, this set the tone of things for the whole holiday. First of all - the positives. The cabin was clean and comfortable, although showing signs of wear. The cabin steward was friendly and helpful, as were all the staff. This was our first cruise experience. Generally we enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and courteous and our Cabin Steward looked after us very well. For the most part we avoided Raffles - which was chaotic and noisy. The Windows restaurant was excellent and we also enjoyed the specialty restaurants.
