Having cruised on all the big RCL ships I was a little anxious about our 5 night cruise out of Miami on the smaller Majesty of the Seas. We had booked with a group so didn't have much of a choice. Loved the new Miami cruise tunnel. Unloading your luggage in Miami and parking has always been a breeze. Miami is the best port for no hassle embarkation in Florida. Parked the car in the adjacent parking garage and were on the ship in less than 30 minutes. Ship was sold out but didn't seem to be that full. Yes it is a small one but everything seemed to be in good working order. It didn't have my favorite Solarium area or outdoor TV screen but all of the ship was well maintained. Staff made up for the rest. I guess being a smaller ship made them try harder, especially in the buffet area where they regularly offered you juice and drinks, plus muffins. Only thing that bothered me was the absence of mustard (or my ability to find it) one day. No balconies except in the suites on this ship. Our room on the 9th deck offered a nice view of the ocean and life boats. For a small ship, I was impressed with the size and condition of the bathrooms in the staterooms. Only issue was the Satellite TV that didn't work very often. Wish I had another option but Bugs Bunny when the satellite is out. Entertainment was very good. Again, no complaints. We got to all ports on time with no delays or issues. Tenders to Coco Cay were quick and easy. Nassau is what it is, and Key West was my favorite stop. Food was fine. Service was adequate. Was really surprised at how easy debarkation was as we walked off the ship pretty much right at 7:15 a.m with our bags in hand as promised. Only delay was caused by passengers that just couldn't seem to comprehend "have your sea pass in your hand" meant "have your seas pass in your hand". Got through customs and were on our way in less than 15 minutes. I understand we have one more year of the Majesty in Miami before it is retired and will have no qualms about spending more time on it next year. Read Less
